watching the boys from a supernatural fan perspective is so fun because like. hughie is sam winchester. annie is sam winchester and also castiel. butcher is a john-dean hybrid. homelander and vought are azazel.

rewatching old s1 supernatural episodes and my god just the tragedy of it all. The long look and the “I’m sorry” from Mary to Sam in Home, his “What is happening to me?” to Missouri. Everything they’re about to go through, all that Sam is going to undertake and become - the irrevocable track his life has been set on.

And then there’s Dean, calling on his dad and following his Book and his Mission in his absence because John is his God, the same way Cas will call out to an absent God in the time and the wake of the apocalypse aghghghgh this show is just so gut wrenchingly beautiful and terrible and I can’t get it out of my head.
