but also very fond of Dave. So much has changed in my life! Fell in love with Dave; we originally met in 1972 and found each other via Facebook one day in February 2010. He moved in with me a year later and I want to chronicle our adventures. He is an artist and musician and I'm a photographer. He loves my shiba inu and I love his three adult kids and their children. We're both quirky and it makes for an interesting life. We tied the knot on 22 July 2013 under a full moon on a beach down the cape (Cape Cod to folks not from these parts).

How do you get over a broken heart?

You don’t, ever. Not quite. But time can do amazing things. A deep wound scabs over, and the scab becomes a scar, and then one day you look for the scar and it’s barely visible. 

What’s important is not to become the wound. Not to spend your life and your time and your attention on the hurt and the heartbreak. Take it and make art with it, instead, or use it to push yourself forward, into things, not away from them.
