Observations of a Crazy Brittanalyst: Part XIX

On Brittany Pierce and the Art of Playing Stupid

In this [somewhat tongue-in-cheek] observation, I closely examine the behavior of Brittany S. Pierce in response to one Rachel Berry, specifically during the episode “Comeback.” Based on my conclusions, I argue that

a) Brittany Pierce is intelligent,

b) she is highly–and oftentimes covertly–protective of Santana Lopez,

and

c) she sometimes uses sweetness and the fact that her peers perceive her as stupid as a device to enable aggressive expression.

This observation comes to you in response to this lovely question from my dear friend Tess, who had no idea into what she would get herself by sharing her thoughts with me:
