Releasing a tranlsation/aesthetics patch for Inazuma Eleven GO Strikers 2013.
This patch is only compatible with Dolphin! It does not work on a real Wii!
To install, just extract this on your main Dolphin directory. You _need_ to have the Load Custom Texutres option enabled (see first image)
Since there is no way to open the game archives, no text is translated. This partial translation is done by simply replacing textures from those from PAL IE Strikers.
It also replaces some aesthetics:
Orpheus' logo is now the real-life Italian National Team logo
Orpheus' kit is now based on the real-life Italy NT's kit (needs work)
Alpine's kit is now Sweden's
Shinsei Inazuma Eleven's kit is now Portugal's kit
If you don't want these, just head on to User\Load\Textures\S5SJHF in your Dolphin directory.
Also, if you want to replace textures (as in, for making kits.) Look at the first image again and enable Dump Textures. They'll be dumped to User\Dump\Textures\S5SJHF. After you're done changing them, move them to User\Load\Textures\S5SJHF. If requested I can post a more in-depth tutorial on this.
The lowest level I've finished IE1 yet with. Not the absolute lowest, but the difference is so small...
Anyway, while further restricting myself with no recruits aside from special recruits, no shops and no manuals the game was still easy. Taking ideas for restrictions for a IE2 run which may show up on Youtube.

Hi! Thank again for that cheat code =) I love it and I use it a lot. Using the IE Unitbase I create a little script in Excel and now we have codes for (almost) all the characters!

Continuing from the last post... there's a limited amount of things you can translate just with the textures, but at least the HUD can be.

I think it's time there's a more centralized place for reverse-engineering and modding discussion of the Inazuma Eleven games. I know there's a bunch of people scattered around (me included) looking into it, so... let's hope we can get them all here! Everyone else is also invited, too. The more the merrier
Undubbing IE Strikers is possible
But it's glitchy. Replacing the opening video is very easy (along with the L5 logo video). The only in-game voice that works is Kakuma Keita's (the commentator's) voice, for some reason. It's still very glitchy and for instance Someoka's Dragon Crash freezes the game. This was done by moving the 'stream' directory in the ISO from the original JP game to PAL. I didn't expect it to work 100% but the fact that it somewhat works is a start. (don't mind that last second screech and the skipping audio, that was Dolphin's buggy HLE audio)
I might have found a way to easily undub IE Strikers PAL. Might. More details soon but it'll hopefully work.
I'm also thinking of making a small forum for IE reverse-engineering and modification, along with things like game mechanics and whatnot. Seems like there's really no info on mechanics. On the reverse-engineering front, I found out how to extract "story" voices from IE/IE2 (and probably IE3) and convert them to .wav, and I found out to extract every single sound (including music) from the IE Strikers games. Given that there's been projects like the IE/IE2 undubs, I think we could pool our efforts into other things, such as a difficulty patch for the DS games, which they sorely need.
I'll probably make it anyway but I'm just gauging interest.
