Sister in Need! [URGENT]

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatuh, my dear brothers and sisters I urge you all to help our sister who is a single mother (divorced after suffering four years of abusive/domestic violent marriage). The appeal: “After 6 weeks of wait, today i recieved the outcome of my Habitual Residency Test and i have failed due to this outcome they have stopped All of my benefits 😢..  I am a single mother of 3 boys two of which suffer with a terminal illness, not only have i been left with rent arrears but i have recieved a letter seeking possesion of my home and do not even have money to provide for my children and meet their medical needs subhanallah. I have been advised to re-apply which i will do but this will take 6-8weeks.. during this time i will have no money whatsoever to feed my small family and pay any rent or bills..” We ask our brothers and sisters to donate generously for the sake of Allah, our sister is going through a lot of stress and she is in need of our help. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection…” (Muslim)

If you want to be more dedicated to your Salah and want to pray on time, you have to stop listening to music.

You might be thinking: “Where is the correlation?”

You see, the heart is a vessel which can only hold one thing at a time, and it acts upon whatever it holds.

So when you listen to music you won’t have any room in your heart for the Qur'an, so when the time for prayer comes, you just won’t be able to pray, because your heart deep down just doesn’t want to recite the Qur'an.

The worst part is that you won’t be able to pray even though you want to, you’ll just sit around wondering why you keep delaying it.

So the best thing you can do, is leave it, perform wudoo’, pray two rakat, and repent to Allaah sincerely.

And begin listening to Qur'an to heal your heart, and you’ll find all your prayers will fall into place, and you’ll actually be more eager to perform your prayers!

The Conditions of Repentance [Article]

By the noble Shaykh Sālih bin Fawzān Al-Fawzān (حفظه الله)

Excerpt:

وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَىٰ

“And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them, (till his death).”

(Surah TāHā, 20:82)

The First condition: leaving off the sin and keeping away from it. It cannot be said repent to Allaah while he does not keep away from the sin and leave it.

The Second condition: to have firm determination of not to return to that sin again. If a person repents to Allaah but he has in his intention to return to the sin at a later date, then his repentance is only temporary, which Allaah Ta’ala does not accept.

The Third condition: that he regrets of what preceded, visualises this sin and fears it, he does not say I have repented and that is it. So he should be fearful of that sin, should have regret of what occurred from him.

My dear, when I tell you about hope, I want you to imagine the sweat dropping off Hajra’s skin as she insistently runs for water in the midst of the desert. I want you to feel the pain and the strength of a father like Ibrahim when he looked into his son’s eyes as a sacrifice to God; Feel the betrayal in Yusuf’s heart when his own flesh and blood tossed him away like garbage and the thick darkness inside a whale where Yunus resided, alone. I want you to picture the wide sea in front of your feet as Musa fled from the pharaoh and how terrified Asiyah must’ve been as she resisted her violent husband. Scream, as Bilal’s bones get crushed while his mouth uttered the shahada and wonder how Rasulullah could still continue his path as blood was flowing down his head and soiled meat was thrown at him. And maybe then when you see it all, feel it all, imagine it all, you would learn that thirst didn’t win over Hajra and Ismael, and Ismael wasn’t slayed. Neither did Yusuf end up unsuccessful and Yunus forgotten. Musa and his people still crossed the sea, Bilal saved out of nowhere and Muhammad’s mission is blooming like never before - because my dear hope means not seeing an escape yourself, but knowing that Allah always does.

“O you who believe! be patient and excel in patience and remain steadfast, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, that you may be successful.” (3:200)
