why is it that people equate manual labor/farming with low intelligence?
do you understand how hard it is to run a farm/ranch? all the different variables you have to account for, all the knowledge you have to have– i promise you, if i put an ivy league academic in front of a 200 lbs ewe and said “now shear her” they wouldn’t be able to do it. not to mention all the business and economics of running a successful commercial farm, much less a little family/hobby farm.
if i told a business CEO to milk a fucking cow he probably couldn’t do it, by hand or machine. or run a combine harvester, or plant sugarcane, or muck a horse stall, hell he probably couldn’t even fix a simple fence break.
just because something uses knowledge of a different type doesn’t mean it doesn’t use knowledge. knowing how much different cattle breeds sell for, when and what to feed your ewes to maximize your lamb crop, how to birth livestock, what crops to plant when, how much water a crop needs, how to tell what minerals/diet deficiencies are causing whatever health problem your livestock are having (and how to recognize an unhealthy animal and what’s wrong before you call the vet). how much to sell your crop for, how to shoe a horse, drive a baler, how to store your hay bales. knowing the different kinds of hay and when to feed it, how to tack up a horse or rope cattle without hurting them, how to castrate your livestock, herd cattle, prevent hoof rot, the list goes on and on–
all of these things require in-depth, nuanced knowledge that is NO LESS VALUABLE than science, business, literature, philosophical, whatever disciplines.
and without that knowledge, YOU’D be the one starving. so stop assuming that farmers are all dumb, low-class folks with empty heads
The issue with, “a fetus becomes a baby when it’s born” is that it’s all relative.
Our daughter was nearly born at 26 weeks with a good chance at a normal life after the nicu. Thankfully she stayed put until 30 weeks before we had to deliver.
When our baby was born, my best friend was 31 weeks pregnant. My baby is alive but hers isn’t? Is that how it works?
Then there’s the point of viability which is currently recognized at 24 weeks. Thanks to medical technology it has come that low that they are able to save the life of a premature baby born that early and now a lot of nicus are saving lives at 23 weeks (earliest life saved has been a 21 week born baby).
So it’s a life earlier and earlier? What is okay to be considered a life now, wasn’t considered life 20 years ago because you couldn’t save a 24 week baby. Not to mention the access the healthcare, how much you can pay, and the level nicu around you. Those are all relative.
Life is not. Life starts at day one. Life starts at conception. We can see video evidence of pre born babies shuddering away from the needle meant to kill them. We know they feel pain.
Protect life.

It is vital to remember that anything I experience must line up with the truth of the Word of God. God will not contradict Himself. He is not the author of confusion.
I don’t care how common it is, it is not NORMAL for every single man to have started watching porn as a teenager and continue to do so for the rest of his life. it is not normal for children to consume porn or have easy access to it. it is not normal for grown men to prefer a screen over real human interactions. it’s not normal to have erectile dysfunction at 25. it’s not normal to have women displayed to you like a product at the click of a button. none of that shit is normal.
Sexuality: If Satan would go to such a length to pervert the way we see one another there must be something so holy there. Nothing would be so exploited and tainted if it wasn’t so holy at the root. If you ask Jesus to show you what I mean by this He will. I’m not sure we’ve even thought to seek it out for ourselves, but we’ve instead wrapped Christian language around the world’s way.
