Let's take our sexual frustration out on each other
black ppl make aave or aave related joke > use aave with the community > we r all having fun > white and nonblack ppl find it > they start using it wrong and throwing it into random sentences > it gets bastardized and used as if itâs just a random Funnysound in a sentence > within a month people are mocking and attacking black people for âstillâ using aave that is now deemed corny meme speech > the cycle repeats
No exaggeration but theeeee most critical lesson I learned in my 20s was letting go when it was time. Itâs so cliche but itâs so true. I used to hold on so venomously to people, put on a tap dance for their approval, force relationships to last past their expiration date, carry the heavy lifting for reaching out because I didnât want to feel âpassive.â But when someone doesnât want your effort itâs not about passivity. Itâs literally about self respect, not wasting your time, and gravitating only to people who have your best interest in mind and celebrate you. Iâve met so many older people who donât know how to let go and it truly scares me that this could easily be me. Itâs better to develop this skill early than it is to spend an entire lifetime begging for love and belonging.
i love 1am - 5am the world be so quiet.
