fleur delacour x nymphadora tonks
these two lovelies began to date when fleur was staying with the weasleyās and when remus, tonks, and others visited it for christmas.
it was quite late at night when fleur pitter-pattered down the creaking, winding stairs and made her best attempt to conceal her loud sniffles.
it just so happened that tonks had already been down their, sitting cross-legged on the couch. she couldnāt sleep and thought a change of scenery might tire her out.
when she heard fleur, her hand instinctively went to her wand. she whispered a soft ālumosā, making the tip of her wand light up and elicit a startled gasp from the blonde.
āfleur?ā
ānymphaātonks?ā
tonks quickly muttered ānoxā and lowered her wand, her eyes already adjusted to the darkness that flowed in from the window. āwhat are you doing?ā sheād bluntly ask.
fleur would carefully continue her steps until she reached the couch, hesitating for a moment before deciding to sit down next to the other woman. āi couldnāt sleep,ā she answered, but it was clear that it was well-rehearsed and a blatant lie. āand you?ā
tonks regarded the blonde carefully, not believing her answer but deciding to humor her. āthe same,ā she said, and this was true.
they sat in deep, awkward silence for nearly a minute more until out of the corner of her eye, tonks caught fleur wiping her eyes with her pajama sleeves. usually, she wouldnāt inquire, but they were living in difficult times ā she might as well show fleur some kindness. āis everything okay?ā
fleur looked up, her eyes briefly widening and indicating her surprise. she considered lying but then deciding against it. āthey hate me.ā
the words dawned on tonks quite quickly, knowing what the french woman meant. anyone could see the weasley familyās annoyance (an understatement) towards fleur.
she took a couple seconds to collect her thoughts. in a low voice she responded with, āwhen i first met molly, she didnāt like me. thought i was a little too . . . energetic and not the best influence on charlie.ā
āwhat did you do?ā fleur immediately asked, sitting up. her desperateness to gain her future mother-in-lawās approval showing.
tonks allowed herself a small smile. ānothing. if she didnāt like me, she didnāt like me. i wasnāt going to change. eventually, she learned to like me ā i think,ā sheād respond.
fleurās shoulder slumped in disappointment. āi donāt think they can learn to like me,ā she would mope.
āso?ā tonks countered, and when she turned her head to look at fleur, her breath caught. the moon chose that exact moment to give the witch a spotlight. the metamorphmagus both metaphorically and literally saw her in a new light. yes, she was a veela so of course anyone and everyone would find her absolutely stunning, but for the first time, tonks felt entranced by her beauty. perhaps it was how she really noticed fleur for the first time ā or maybe how their conversation started to deepen (probably both). she gulped and she quickly continued. āif they donāt like you, itās on them.ā
they continued to talk for hours. fleur expressed how irked she was that bill never stood up for her and tonks told her tales of the mischief she and charlie would get into. by the time the sun was just beginning to rise, the blonde had fallen asleep on the now pink-haired woman, her head on the latterās shoulder. tonks had her arm protectively around fleur, sure of her feelings now. meanwhile, unbeknownst to both of them, fleurās feelings for tonks were sprouting.
so dumbledore def had child soldiers. and i donāt mean just harry. iām including lily, james, sirius, remus, and even hermione and ron.
- technically, yes, the first order of the phoenix were adults, but they were only just adults. they joined the order straight out of hogwarts! yes, legally theyāre adults, but mentally theyāre teens! why would dumbledore drag them into this when there were older, more capable, and more experienced wizards out there, probably?
- as for harry, dumbledore quite literally raised him as a lamb for slaughter, as he knew the entire time that in the end, harry would have to die, and didnāt know that he would come back. he let harry face voldemort countless times and basically used him to defeat voldemort and save hogwarts nearly every year. he never once told harry to stop. he never once told harry to alert an adult. was plot convienne contributing to this? yes, but iām sure that there could of been a way for dumbledore to still be a responsible adult, like minerva!
- he also let harry stay in an abusive family just so he would be protected from voldemort (when, for the first eleven years of his life, voldemort was too weak to even exist) and so he could come fight voldemort at hogwarts
- also, ron and hermione! dumbledore never once told them to back off. he let them and even encouraged them and harry to be his child soldiers with the deathly hallows! were they legally seventeen, the wizarding adult age? yes. however itās important to keep in mind that dumbledore sent them off on a quest that he could have had wizards doing for years while they were supposed to be in their seventh year and were barely adults. still in the teenage mindset!
āThe Wasp rarely is the swooning, damsel in distress: Sheās gone through some peril to be sure, from her personal life to her costumed adventuring career, but this woman doesnāt shirk her responsibilities or morals to cower or retire. Technically, sheās been an Avenger since the teamās inception and remains unique in the field of superheroics: while most heroes have greatness thrust upon them or fight to survive, Janet Van Dyne actively chose this life. Sheās accepted herself enough to be public about being a ācostumed adventurerā and is rich enough to make it her primary occupation with little to no angst about how she got to where she is today. Becoming the Wasp was a way for her to avenge her fatherās death, and that may have inspired the name for Earthās Mightiest Heroes. Starting with her origin from the pages of Tales to Astonish #44, what really fascinates me is how she gained her powers and took off for a life of adventure, because it really was her decision. Quick recap: Vernon Van Dyne is working on a āGamma Ray Beamā device to contact another galaxy (is there anything that Gamma Rays canāt do?), tries to get Dr. Hank Pym on board for help, but Pym declines as their fields of science donāt jibe. Vernon Van Dyne goes ahead with his project anyway, unwittingly releases a creature from the planet Kosmos and is killed. The monster sets off on a rampage, and Janet comes home to a slain father and a crazy science device gone horribly wrong. Now, it would be a perfectly normal story beat for Janet to faint right on the scene ā for her to scream or panic or hide, maybe get terrorized a little by the title villain only for Ant-Man to save her. 1963 isnāt exactly the time in which women were taken that seriously in science fiction, but here she is, dialing up the last scientist who saw her father alive to tell him the whole story. After some investigating as Ant-Man, wherein we learned that Vernon was killed with āpure fear,ā Janet Van Dyne (showing some fearlessness) meets again with Ant-Man and Pym before the latter just comes clean as the former. Does she swoon and wait patiently for the day to be saved? Nope, she signs right on up for genetic testing. Experimental genetic testing that Pym hasnāt worked on anyone else with. Janet is getting powers to avenge her fatherās death, and thereās no time to waste. That is what makes her incredible: She really is fearless at an age when fear is a perfectly acceptable response to the situation; ladies in sci-fi thrillers of the day are still the fairer sex, and any horror movie heroine from that era I can think of is still clutching and shrieking in the face of fear. Itās a foolish to jump feet first into the science project of a man you just met and then throw on a super-suit to battle a monster from outer space, but here we are. Janet Van Dyne has turned foolishness into heroism in an era when the former was far more expected. Itās a recklessness that causes her to be full of fancy and girlish cliche in future appearances, but please note how she is still standing shoulder to shoulder with some of Marvelās greatest heroes. Ant-Man and the Wasp are a weird choice to be co-founders of the Avengers, but thatās the beauty of being Earthās greatest heroes: Sometimes being great isnāt about who can punch harder, itās about being brave. The Wasp is the one who dubs this band the Avengers, possibly after her own idea of heroism, and the name sticks. Considering how young she is, she grows up as a member of the team, switching from reservist to active duty as needed. This wasnāt a college job for her or a passing fancy; this is a level of commitment we normally praise Spider-Man for. Having lost his father figure because of his own lost moment of selfishness, Peter Parker realized that with great power comes great responsibility. Janet Van Dyne, through no fault of her own, lost her father and devoted herself to avenging his death then and there, and really never stopped. No matter what, the Wasp has been fighting. Costumed adventurer is her career, right along aside fashion design and being fabulous. She doesnāt have a traditional uniform in the sense that she has to put something on to become the Wasp; in fact, she has a whole wardrobe to declare herself to the public and evil-doers everywhere. And yes, itās incredibly sad that her personal life has eclipsed her heroic calling, but even then, at her worst, Janet doesnāt stop fighting. After Hankās meltdown, Janet again would have a right to retire, to rethink her choice to get mixed up in all this superhero nonsense, at least take a long vacation somewhere far away. Instead, just four issues later, she steps up and lays out her plan to become chairwoman of the Avengers. Although her teammates are perplexed, she demands straight answers from them and winds up getting a unanimous vote in. Thanking them graciously, they get down to business. As Avengers chairwoman, she recruits both She-Hulk and Monica Rambeau (as Captain Marvel), she leads the team through one of the darkest storylines of the time in āUnder Siege,ā and she even buys them a Quinjet! The Wasp will never stop fighting. The Wasp wonāt stop being herself, either. Her powers have remained relatively the same for 50 years (we do not talk about āThe Crossingā); even with the ability to grow to giant-sized, sheās stuck to the small and dangerous life. Sure, sheās been an āairhead heiress,ā but the Wasp hasnāt shied away from the moniker, knowing full well that it was a valid description in her younger years. When she was removed from the Marvel Universe, there was something missing in a long-lasting female champion in our grand cast of heroes. Not as strong as the Hulk or as tough as Thor, but she is as valiant as any of them and it is because of those limitations that she deserves even more respect as an inspiration to never stop fighting.ā

i hope all nonbinary people aligned with their agab in any way know theyre wonderful and loved šš¤šš¤
fine with or use pronouns typically associated with your agab? doesnt make you any less nonbinary! youre excellent and can use whatever pronouns feels best! š
either cant, dont want to, dont feel like it, or have yet to have any sort of medical transition/binding/etc, and perhaps even like your body the way it is? doesnt make you any less nonbinary! theres no requirement to being nb, just do whatevers in your best interest! š¤
like to present in a way typically associated with your agab? doesnt make you any less nonbinary! clothing, hairstyle, and otherwise doesnt equal gender, keep doing you! š
actually do partially or sometimes identify with your agab? doesnt make you any less nonbinary! gender is a complex experience, being bigender, genderfluid, genderflux, demigender, or anything else is totally valid, no matter what genders are a part of it! š¤
aligning with your agab in any way doesnt make you fake, or ""just [x] but wanting to feel special."" dont listen to gross queerphobes saying shit like that! nonbinary includes a vast amount of genders and experiences, theres no rules to it, it simply just means not falling exclusively in the binary! youre amazing the way you are, and i hope you have a terrific day!! šš¤šš¤
I feel rlly bad saying this but honestly, in my opinion, Gabby Kinney (Lauraās clone) is honestly just annoying me. IDK if anyone feels like that, maybe itās just me.
Fight me
Lmao what
tony dying in a what if episode is a big win for the Tony antis
the black widow's opening credits are one of the most powerful and sad things that ever happened in mcu. I'm sensitive don't touch me
ā Black Widow opening credits.
I feel like this person didnāt even bother to stay for the second end credits sceneā¦
Itās literally explained that throughout the film it was not Fury and Hill⦠It was the skrulls, who had no idea how to get into contact with the rest of the Avengers and only knew how to reach Peter because their main job was to deliver EDITH to himā¦
people also need to learn the difference between plot/plot connivence and characterization lol
also with the anti ginny weasley posts Iām seeing can I just say that one of my favorite things about her is that she grew into herself. and when she get into herself she didnāt get any new personality traits, she was just able to highlight them more. which also relates to why I love Caroline Forbes in TVD because when Caroline became a vampire, she didnāt get any new personality traits, but her current ones were amplified.
ginny had a crush on harry ā> her feelings matured
ginny was shy ā> she was able to control that and grow out of that
ginny loved quidditch ā> she stopped letting others stop her from practicing quidditch and got on the team
ginny was fierce and protective ā> she grew into standing up for herself and being a leader in her sixth year
ginny was funny ā> her humor evolved
thatās a very real and rare aspect in characterization that doesnāt happen a lot. itās also why sheās not a Mary Sue and she definitely isnāt perfect. she has flaws. and even if sheās popular, she didnāt let that get to her. she was still down to earth and genuine.
hi so i wanted to do a hinny analysis b/c i love them
here we go
why harry loved ginny:
harry became attracted to ginny mostly around the sixth book, harry potter and the half-blood prince. he was attracted to her because he found her beautiful and found himself almost enchanted by her, i think. personally, she was a person that he had always seen as a friend before, and now that he was noticing her more, he allowed himself to gain romantic feelings for her. she really helped him. she understood him. he wasnāt the boy who lived around her, he was just harry. it was different from how hermione and ron viewed him because even though he was their best friend, he was still the boy who lived because of the heroic adventures they go on ā how they quite literally save the world each year. ginny was new and fresh and different from the girls that heās dated before. she made him incredibly happy and made him feel lively and comfortable.
why ginny loved harry:
in the first and second books, ginny only had a massive childish, celebrity crush on him. that was how her attraction started. however, in the third - fourth books, she was able to let go of that childish, celebrity crush and began to live with the fact that she may not get this crush, that there were other fish in the sea. in the fourth, fifth, and sixth books, she was able to date other boys and enjoyed her relationships. i think that because she was able to gain some control over her celebrity crush and was able to outgrow it, that allowed her to have a more mature and appropriate attraction to harry, which fit her as she grew into being a young woman; until she fell in love with him. (i also think this allowed room for harryās attraction to her). so her attraction to him had grown into something more fitting for her as a young woman and it was still there. a part of her still hoped, because she was attracted him. she found him handsome and funny and kind, he made her happy, and he treated her like a friend. not like his best friendās little sister, which was important. he always appreciated her and that was different from her other boyfriends. he also understood her as she had been possessed in the second book in a way that she might need to feel understood.
other:
i also think that itās important to note that they both grew into themselves without each other. they didnāt need each other to complete their personalities, which i thought was interesting. however being in love with each other also helped develop their characters. for ginny, harry made her happy. harry understood her. he treated her in a way that made her feel seen and appreciated. for harry, ginny also made him happy. she motivated him. she made him laugh and took some of the pressure off of him being the boy who lived, the one who saves everyone in the prophecy. unfortunately, since these books are in harryās perspective, itās difficult to get ginnyās. there had to be something in harry that she found that she lacked in her past relationships. we also could infer that harryās love and ginny loving harry perhaps helped her get through her sixth year, the final book.
iād love to here everyone elseās thoughts on why they love each other! let me know :)
Iām so tired of reading these posts where they say that Klaus has never loved Caroline because he tried to kill her, that he loved Camille more, or/and that Caroline has never EVEN cared about Klaus⦠because he actually WAS the villain of HER story, that they are HAPPY she ended up alone because her epic love is Stefan! So letās talk. Long post ahead.
I donāt know where to start, and, honestly, I donāt care how much I hate I will get after saying what Iām planning to!
Letās adress:
1. Klaus trying to kill Caroline & the whole āloving Camille moreā thing
I love Klaus! Heās always been one of my favorite villains (at first) and characters of all time. Most, though, in TVD. I found the layers of his personality very interesting. He was smart, witty, impulsive, with daddy⦠family issues, consumed by pain, and the possibility of being lonely and alone. He had an unhappy childhood that he used as an excuse for all the bad things he used to do, but it wasnāt just that. He was a big child. They donāt do what he wants, he shows them heās the most dangerous creature in the world.
I loved how he started making progress, but still remaining the same old original hybrid that disguised his fears and feelings in hatred! The first time we see Klaus showing humanity and empathy towards someone outside his broken family was when he SAVED Caroline in 3x11. We saw that kindof human part of him when he actually apologized for doing that to her (making Tyler bite her as revenge), especially on her birthday. He talked to her, shared a part of him⦠he shared his views and talked about life, and future, and the dark thoughts he had, too. I remember reading an interview before the premiere of season 3 and being shocked that Klaus might get a love interest, which I thought would be a lady like Tylerās mom. But I saw that episode and I just KNEW⦠and I was pretty intrigued! The gift was a sign of kindness, too, and that chance of seeing Klausā light was incredible after everything heās done.
The second time he tries to kill her is in 4x13. He bites her after an argument, trying to get Tyler back. He put up hisĀ ābig bad wolfā facade and thought he actually could do this⦠kill her. But he couldnāt. And as much as I HATED that he did this because it felt like he took a step back, I loved that he changed his mind. He was hurt and angry, but he just couldnāt let her die. He couldnāt. He let her in and she stayed for so long⦠until and long after that awful finale. He was afraid while he was calling her name that she actuallyĀ died. And this is such a great progress for him because he let himself be vulnerable again, he didnāt deny heās actually in love with her, even though he poses as that evil character and does bad things for no reasons from time to time.
She tried to kill him with the rest of the gang, too, so excuse me for not making such a big deal. He actually saved her several times during their journey: in 4x01, hearing about her being taken, he goes and saves her despite his sister and in 4x23 at her graduation.
In The Originals, I felt like I lost something⦠like the original family I loved and adored so much in TVD, wasnāt the same. Yeah, I understand that they tried to show a different side of them⦠but it didnāt feel right for me. And Camille? I found her quite something⦠but I couldnāt actually truly like her because almost every scene she was in was with Klaus⦠and their moments reminded me TOO MUCH of the ones that Klaroline shared in TVD. It felt like they were trying to replace Caroline, which didnāt feel right because Camille is an interesting character of her own, who should have been shown in a different light. (I liked Aurora, though. She was a feisty one!) But she had a good influence on him, I guess. It was a real therapy that Klaus needed to evolve. So no, I donāt think Klaus loved her more than Caroline because he didnāt love them in the same way.
2. Caroline never EVEN caring about Klaus⦠because he actually WAS the villain of HER story, that they are HAPPY she ended up alone because her epic love is Stefan.
Firstly, KLAUS wasnāt the villain of CAROLINEās story, he was ELENAās, just like Damon was Carolineās in the first seasons (especially in s1). But that didnāt stop Elena loving Damon, so why should have stopped Caroline? Because ābeing good comes so easy to herā? I didnāt like Carolineās love interests⦠and now I hate the list even more that they want to make us think Stefan was her only epic love. Elenaās ex, her ex best friend. I felt like Stefan never fell in love with Caroline. He never noticed her, he never liked her, he never put her first⦠and it was like he was comparing her to Elena and she wasnāt enough.
I really think that if Elena and Damon didnāt match the way they did (I love Delena⦠they have an unique bond!) and they would have broken up, Stefan would have gone back to Elena.
And the whole 'the right way to have Stefan honored" thing is so awful! It made no sense! It didnāt do justice to anyone! Stefan was selfless, he cared about Caroline in his own way⦠he would want to see her happy!
And itās been over a decade. She has the RIGHT to move on! I agree, she doesnāt need a man by her side to be happy, but why bring her in Klausā life again, make her open up, get closer, and then BUF! give her the same freaking ending?! She deserved better!
Matt was also Elenaās ex and they just didnāt fit, Tyler was a douche in my opinion, so she had an awful love life. Letās just make Caroline Elenaās shadow, making her fall in love with all of her exes and kill the ONLY one who actually wanted to wait for her however long it takes, who noticed and would notice her anywhere, who never forgot her, who challenged her, and evolved in time just like she did, the one who understood her, who wanted to show her the world, the pleasant little things, who wanted to teach her about life, and people, and art, and music, who knew how to handle the pain of losing the loved people, who shared the beautiful feeling of being a parent.
Because thatās amazing and it totally makes sense!
So yes, I ship Klaroline and Iāve been shipping them since the very beggining despite whatever the antis say, because they had this intense connection: the darkness, the light, the fear and the empty feeling of not being good enough, the pain and the love, the attraction and chemistry⦠they matched so beautifully and theyāll always and forever be my endgame!
Sorry, but no. Klaus ABUSED Caroline. Also: āShe tried to kill him with the rest of the gang, too, so excuse me for not making such a big deal.ā
Just no.
The first two times the gang tried to k*ll Klaus, Caroline didnāt even know him. The third and last time Caroline was still with Tyler and had no involvement the third time.
hi can we talk about how klaus is a toxic and abusive person yet people still stan him
(under the cut because there are descriptions of verbal, emotional, and physical abuse, controlling behavior, and manipulation)
Tony stans: why do you all hate Tony and not thor thor wanted to start a war
I acknowledge that it was not right for Thor to handle it with wanting to start a war. Itās important to take into account that Lokiās whole plan was for Thor to go to Jotunheim AND Thor actually learned and grew in his own movie, whereas Tony did not. The whole purpose of Thorās movie was to stop being so hotheaded and to become worthy again, which he did, and he no longer wanted to start a war with people - but Tony continued the weapons.
