So the recommended play-by for the lovely Lucinda Yaxley is Melissa George, but there's room for flexibility. Lucinda is the eldest at age 38 and was 11 years old when their father was killed. I imagine her to be absolutely and undoubtedly independent. She's an Avery down to her core, though she's married to one of the Yaxley family. She was homeschooled and tutored by Idora Avery, her Great Aunt and the one who taught her to be the most powerful witch she could be.
Lucinda strongly believes that muggleborns have no place in society. I'd imagine she has committed several crimes against muggles, but she's clever enough to have gotten away with them. She spends a lot of her time in Germany, where laws aren't as strict as in the UK. By now she has children, but how many and how old they are is entirely up to you.
She's a practiced Legilimens, but probably still growing in strength. She's also probably fairly adept at wandless magic.
Her relationship with Cyril is pretty strong, though she sees him as weak in a lot of ways. Where he believes that cunning and influence can work to his advantage, she sees violence and force as the only option. Think of her as a little more emotionally stable version of Bellatrix Lestrange. She's just biding her time until she can begin again the crusade that ended with the death of the Dark Lord.
The Hufflepuff of the family, Cyril's older sister who we'll call Cordelia because why the heck not, is 35 and probably the more loving and caring of the family. She spent much of her childhood looking after her younger siblings and caring for their heartsick mother. She was probably born in late June or early July which makes her a Cancer and I've chosen Charlotte Sullivan as a recommendation for a play-by.
She was brought up around the "right" sort of company. Traditional pureblood families. Though in Hufflepuff House at Hogwarts, many of her friends were in Slytherin. While not as opinionated as her relatives, and far more open-minded, she is also the least confrontational. What's important to her is family, and she wouldn't do anything to betray them.
I can see her working as a healer or something at St. Mungo's or perhaps the matron at Hogwarts. She could also be a teacher or a librarian. Somewhere that she can be helpful and care for people, definitely. She's particularly skilled, as most Hufflepuff students tend to be, in Herbology. She has vague memories of her time at Aunt Idora's, but the woman found her too weak-minded to be of use and instead groomed her to be a lady. She is not currently betrothed and may take the route of her brother and be United, if only to avoid having to marry based on blood status.
So Cyril spend a lot of time with his younger brother, 30, who happens to be a mini-me only taller and much more of a... I hate to use the word "bro" but basically a bro. Play by recommendation is Alan Ritchson not to be confused with Alan Rickman. But anyway, Alan is definitely on the Lucinda side of the Avery family philosophy spectrum, especially if Cyril is in the middle. He's very vocal about his beliefs, more so than his brother for sure, and is pretty adamant about Marrying Pureblood.
He played a lot of Quidditch for Slytherin at Hogwarts and I think he'd definitely be a Gemini. He's probably a professional Quidditch player now or something where he can get away with being a little more physically aggressive. Maybe even a Dragon Keeper or Dragonologist or something.
He and Cyril often get mistaken for one another at a distance. They're fairly close as brothers, but Alan definitely thinks Cyril is a pathetic wimp and probably beat him up a lot at home. Luckily Cyril knows his way around a wand enough to keep his older brother at bay most of the time. Like Cyril, when Alan was old enough he was also used as a test subject for the Unforgivable Curses. He's got a strong resistance to the Cruciatus Curse but he hasn't got Cyril's strength of mind and is likely susceptible to the Imperius Curse.
The darling of the family, of course, as it should be. I'd recommend Rachael Taylor for the role of the youngest Avery girl. She's 28 and has no recollection of her father or the circumstances of his death. She, too, was a Slytherin and would be a Libra. I see her as being charming and apparently genuine, but with the darker streak that her elder siblings seem to have. She knows she's beautiful and she flaunts it, but most don't see her as the conceited type.
Like Cordelia, Rachael is the type to remain neutral. Though more opinionated, she really only cares about family. She cares a lot more about her pureblood lineage, but is more inclined to trust that the Ministry will find her a suitable husband.
I see her working as a model or a designer, something artistic that also enables her to show off her own looks. A girl like her definitely belongs in the limelight. If she isn't, it's likely she'll force her way to the center of the dance floor.
