She wasn’t wrong. She was almost s rank and excaliber was an s rank tome - for some reason the mage before her looked about the same skill level as her, except he  carried four of the wind tomes.

She was just managing to get the gist of this meditation thing that Ryoma had taught her, it was meant to help Rinkah relax, focus, to be more effective on the battlefield and not fighting like a ‘wild fire’ as some people called her.

That was until she felt a great chill descend upon the room she was meditating in, and it was a considerable chill for someone as warm blooded as the oni. No, the room hadn’t actually gotten colder, but there was definitely an eerie presence within the room.

“Do you mind? I’m trying to concentrate here!”

   “Sorry. i didn’t mean to intrude.” 

Her tone of voice was harsh, and her eyes narrowed at the older woman as she sat there.

    “But this is a public space, and i can use it if i wish. if you needed somewhere private, try using your tent.”

     The expression of surprise that reaches Morgan’s features is not in response to the suddenness of the other’s approach, but rather the almost uncanny resemblance she bears to her mother. It’s more than a little jarring, and the Sorcerer takes a moment to blink before a wide smile tugs at her lips as well; she rarely meets anyone this enthusiastic about the dark arts, after all, as most everyone gives just gives her weird looks.

     “Yeah, it is!” She presents the violet-colored tome to the stranger with steadily growing enthusiasm. “Do you practice Dark Magic, too?”

     “Yeah i do. it’s nohrian so not a lot of hoshidans practice it so it’s super hard for me to find someone to talk to and a lot of the dark mages are pretty hostile. there’s only a small handful i know of, and i’m a tad shy to go talk to them - and i’m pretty sure the great odin dark isn’t really a dark mage to begin with.”  Rhajat’s eyes flickered down to the violet tome in the other girl’s hands. “i don’t recognise the sigils on the cover -- what’s this tome? it’s certainly not a nosferatu tome.”

    “i was already awake when your screaming started, more or less. you just happened to jostle me awake - i was drooling on a tome from nohr and i hate drooling on my books.” 

she rambled a bit, her mouth running a mile a minute, embarrassed that she had spoken to prince leo of nohr. she had not intended to call him out for his nightmares, but then again, she was no stranger to takumi’s cries echoing like a ghost through the camp and occasionally she was offended because she was supposed to be the most supernatural thing around camp!

im gonna go hunt for more rhajat art and start on kiragi + do some homework because i have a bunch of shit due monday and im drowing in work and i wanna die haha im a fool .....
