okay not to rant but can we talk about hozier please?
i am obviously not a christian by any means, but hoziers use of biblical terms in his music is so moving. it feels like hes breaking these ideals by singing them as if they were mythology and i just go wild for it!!! sing to me about the garden of eden, but make me feel like the dark pagan entity in me is waking up. sing me some liquid magic, baby, echo down the cathedral of my ribcage. his music feels like walking through old churches, but not answering to any god other than your own. he doesnt ask to bow to an almighty, he sings of the beauty and power of gods found within.
his music really is for the sapphics and the witches and i love every part of it.
No he did not.
ok but now that i’m thinking about it imagine andrew narrating a nature documentary. “And over here we see a gorgeous, just a beautiful bear. A grizzly, I think. Just takin a sip. I feel that buddy. You don’t know a thing about capitalism. I wish I were you. Oh, and there’s a blue jay. Oh, look at the color on that beauty. Reminds me of her eyes…she was just like a blue jay. As beautiful as she was deadly. Blue jays, you see, are corvids. Nasty little bastards. Lovely, but sinister, just like her. Oh, a raccoon! Haha, look at that chunky lad, with his little people hands.”
