Sherlock continued to let out gruff snorts of warning, ears flattened to his head until it was clear that Jo was not worried, Vick seemed annoyed but also not concerned by the presence of this creature, one like her husband.
Moving forward, he moved past Vick and Jo to sniff at him, his ears now up and twitching, he was going to be polite this time.
Pressing a hand to his chest, he looked the man in the eyes. âSherlock.â He said simply, introducing himself.
Then his hand moved to Charlieâs chest, looking at him expectantly, they had all said so many words that he wasnât sure which was this creatures name, so he wanted to be sure.
When Sherlock moved towards him, Charlie squeaked softly and made himself look smaller behind Joseph. Then he realised that the fawn was actually introducing himself. He looked up at him. âCh-CharlieâŠâ He mumbled.Â
'Don't be afraid.' Joseph whispered to Charlie. 'He is very nice.'
'A-are you adopting him or something?' Charlie mumbled.
'He'll just stay for a few days.' Joseph replied.
'Can we go in now? I'm starving and I want a shower.' Vick said, walking towards the door, shooting a threatening glare at Charlie.
'And maybe check on your daughters that missed you terribly.â Charlie spat at her.
Suddenly, she turned around and in less than a second she had Charlie pressed against the wall with her knife against his neck right over the thick scar that she had made on him a few years back. âI will pretend I didnât hear that.â She hissed dangerously.Â
Charlie. It seemed easy enough to say, his brows furrowed a little as he repeated it in his head a few time before trying it out. "C-Ch.. Char-lee." He managed, looking entirely proud of himself but it was interrupted as suddenly there was a lot of motion. Vick had Charlie pressed against the wall, earning a look of wide eyed confusion from the fawn. Still, he knew he had to defend Vick, she was his favourite and the one that cared about him the most. Padding from one foot to the other, he let out a displeased snort, angling his antlers down. He could easily kill Charlie now that he was pinned against the wall but he was confused as Jo had said they were friends, he didn't want to kill a friend. "Vick." Sherlock whined, his ears pressed down to his head, still letting out small displeased huffs at the aggression.
