I really need to find a couple people to work at my dad’s shop, but the idea of conducting interviews has already worn me out. I think that’s a clear sign that I am not cut out for management, ever.
I was asked if I wanted to conduct interviews for the lab and I said no. Being from a different country tends to make things hard considering we do things differently.
“I can use all the help that I can get.”

Christ, that might be painful but if everyone has enough to drink maybe we can just laugh… or cry but I’m hoping for laughter. Now I’m sure we were. Okay that is true and laughter is the best medicine. At least my mum always said so. That might be because my father was always gone and she preferred us kids to be happy rather than the opposite. I’m from the UK. Hastings, East Sussex to be more precise. It’s quite far away. I am glad you haven’t. I sort of have but I think she realized that it wasn’t working either which is good. I hate breaking up with people. Micah, I fear I may have just fallen in love with you. The fact that you even know to talk about those things with me solidifies that there is no need to say sorry. You’re the first person I’ve meet besides my co-workers who know what to talk with me about in regards to my job.
Ooo, I can tell that club is gonna be just so much fun. Eh, maybe one day I’ll get around to it, but just accidentally knocking on your door and dumping shitty stories seems a bit overwhelming, yeah? Well I bet it’s nice that she cares enough to call, no matter how much of a helicopter she’s being. I can see that. Forced things, especially relationships are probably the most damaging thing I can think of to a person. But that’s possibly me being over dramatic. Don’t say that, marine biology is really cool and there’s a bunch of different parts and subjects to it. Plus, everyone is more than just their job.
Right? We will bring delicious alcohol. Not that I drink much. But I might have to for that club. Well, accidents happen for a reason and I think this one proves that. We are probably destined to be friends. She does care very much and since my sister is kind of a wild card and I’m more dependable she calls me all the time. I am far from home though so I understand. Over dramatic or not, they are not fun. It’s very cool and I love it but sometimes I get stuck in my work. I also talk about it a lot. We can join a club. My mother was a blessing, thankfully. You don’t have to tell me anything. My mother does enough of that. I tell her not to call so much but she got an international plan. I’m not looking. I prefer to let it happen naturally and accidentally rather than go out and look. Besides, I’m a marine biologist and I spend most of my time on the water or at a lab. I hate to say I’m probably a rather boring boyfriend.
Being worried about your child is pretty much every parent ever. It’s basically engraved in your description as a father but are you sure you’d want to be the helicopter dad? Damn, maybe once you have a kid, yeah? I could probably use a new client considering I just lost one.
That is true. However, I do believe my own father was not inscribed with this notion. That doesn’t matter at the moment though. I suppose I could let you know if that ever happens. It may be a while as I am single at the moment.
