We just witnessed the raw exercise of the. patriarchy, completely removed from any notion of decorum, or even any attempt to dress it up nicely.

We just saw a woman, calm, composed, and full of righteous emotion, tell the truth about sexual violence.

We just saw a man, belligerent, angry, and uncontrolled, demonstrably lying in nearly every sentence.

The people in power overwhelmingly side with the man. They can’t afford to lose the power that they have.

Our institutions are not about freedom, or truth, or justice. No law is here to protect you. They are not made for you. They are about the raw exercise of unnaccountable, capitalist and misogynist power over everybody who dares oppose them.
