And May The ForceΒ

i love this sequence of maul meditating/running katas its so peaceful
Clones with scars specifically in the space between their armour plates. A vibro-knife cut on the elbow. A burn scar on the back of the knee. A shard of shrapnel in the hip.
Clones in awe at the beauty of the wider galaxy but lacking the vocabulary to describe it. βItβsβ¦ itβs beautiful. Itβs likeβ¦ beautiful. Just so beautiful. Itβs pretty. Um. Itβs beautiful.β
Clones trying on civilian clothes and hating it because theyβre so used to the armour being heavy and stiff. Soft stuff almost makes them feel naked, like theyβre in their blacks.
Clones who chose to grow out their hair but have no idea how to look after it so itβs a complete frizzy mess that HAS to be tied back lest it go everywhere.
Clones with intensely scathing internal dialogues who are always super polite and compliant because mentally disintegrating their authority figures was the only way they could stave off the urge to go completely off the rails on Kamino.
Clones who have never figured out how to verbalise feelings (worsened by working with Jedi who can justβ¦ FEEL their feelings) making up their own terminologies. βI feel likeβ¦ wet.β βWhat?β βOn the inside.β βew.β βNo! Ok listen, not like that.β
Clones with lingering sun damage from the first time they took their helmets off on a desert world (nobody told them about sunscreen).
Clones having to learn what familial terms mean because what the kriff is an βauntβ?
Newly deployed clones being really awkward in any conversation that isnβt related to war because theyβve never spoken casually with anyone that doesnβt share their exact life experience.
An extension to the previous: clones mirroring the energy of whoever theyβre talking to, to an unnerving extent, because theyβre trying to learn how to socialise.
Clones in phase 1 armour with rough skin in the spots where it rubs really bad (This is canon btw. Itβs not enough theyβre at war, the Kaminoans also apparently canβt be arsed to tailor their gear)
Clones after the war being identifiable by the way they walk, because they still move like they have the armour on.
Ugh, Clones. I love them so much. Weird little tortured guys.
Adrienne Lenker put drugs in this song. I canβt prove it but Iβm certain. Anyway this one is for my codywan mutuals whoβve been exhibiting saintly patience while I watch other shows. Youβve all been so brave

"how do we show viewers that maul is in his mid-30s at this point in canon?"
"give him a fucked up knee and make him haunted by the ghosts of his past"

Bad Batch cadets could have their own show
The concept of the "Worst Batch" and the other defective clones of the GAR
The Worst Batch are anonymous reg enemies, but just like Clone Force 99, they have body types that deviate from the standard reg figure. In a strictly canonical sense I'd chalk that up to cybernetics or the result of experimentation that altered their bodies beyond recognition. Anyway. To take the concept of the Worst Batch and make them more than mid-stage bosses without any backstory to them- I think it'd be so much more interesting if they weren't regulation clones.
Instead, what if they were like 99? Due to his defects, 99 was given janitorial duty instead of getting to be a soldier, but he continued to dream about fulfilling his "purpose" and dies for the opportunity to do so. There's a fair chance other defective clones in 99's position had similar desires. There's room for envy and even resentment for regulation clones and the Batch alike that could easily be sparked by the fact that they were deployed while these 99s were denied from that. These are emotions Hemlock could have twisted and manipulated into his favour for his CX experiments, especially if he wanted to create his own version of CF99. The CX troopers even have a cultish reverence towards Hemlock which could be an extreme form of gratitude for his enabling them to be powerful soldiers. (Do note that the Star Wars database specifies that the CX troopers were unwilling subjects, though, so I think this mindset was formed after experimentation)
+ Additional headcanon I have about 99s that isn't specifically related, but I wanted to dump into a post anyway: Defective clones that were created specifically for the genetic deviance enhancement experiment have standard 4 number designations that begin with 99 (as we see with Clone Force 99). Any other intentionally made clones were terminated (why Nala Se said there were only 5 remaining). Every time an experimental 99 was terminated, the numbers of their CT numbers were updated to maintain orderly numbers that didn't have any gaps (CT-9901, 9902, 9903, 9904, and so on, if there were more) Thus, Hunter might have not been 9901 at first, but recieved that number when others labeled before him didn't make it. On the other hand, clones that were designed to be regulation but were deemed notably defective by the Kaminoans would have the numbers 99 added before their designation. For example, CT-1234 would become CT-99-1234. Natural 99s were either terminated or given non-combat roles (like 99).
Soe xcited to share my piece for @pabudayszine ! It was and has been a huge blast to work on!
this is my new obsession and y'all have to deal with it!! (if y'all want to see a character-specific post or just more of a certain character lmk and i'll do it! i am for the people.)
In case anyone needs it, I have the "library" of every clone that has an official name in the Clone Wars.
It's a sheet of gifs but it still has everyone (except the newest characters from Bad Batch they haven't been added yet.)
A gift.
