Convenient codex tablets which just so happened to prove the cherished linguistic theories perpetuated by their discoverer. Exquisite gems which doomed the owner to the typical overindulgences that owners of exquisite gems might be already vulnerable to. So-called “Sith holocrons,” so rare and dangerous that they were often on proud display on a shop shelf.  Still, other fakes were less benign, intended to harm as cruel pranks, or to target someone. Whatever this ring was, authentic or not, it was clearly serious. “If you’re here on-planet anyway, I wondered if you and your chuckleheaded apprentice might come out take a look.”  “My apprentice?” Lene raised her eyebrows. “You know, he's actually a Jedi Master now.” “Oh-ho! i know everyone loves baby seals, but sometimes i really am blown away by their whimsy. they took a teddy bear and made it a mermaid. i feel very wonderful knowing we live on the same planet as puppy mermaid teddies

So this mail-order company was advertising pondering orbs that were actually five-dimensional hyperspheres and I thought that sounded fancy so I went ahead and ordered one, but it turned out to be a bit of a ripoff. Sure, it may technically be a five-dimensional hypersphere, but I'm only seeing a three-dimensional cross-section of it, so the damn thing still looks like a regular spherical orb, except that every once in a while it shifts a bit along a spatial axis perpendicular to the three dimensions I normally exist in and it seems to change its size.

If I were a sith and I got murdered by my apprentice I would be so embarrassed. I think the only thing more embarrassing than getting murdered by your apprentice would be if your sith master (who is 20 years YOUNGER than you. Embarrassing on its own.) didn't even bother to murder you himself but instead got his boytoy that you kind of look down on to do it for him.
