FFXIV Boys react to their child declaring that they're going to become as strong as you
"I'm going to be strong just like mama/papa! I'm going to protect you someday! I promise!"
He'd agree with it immediately. Of course, they'd want to be as strong as you. After hearing about all of your stories, it was only a matter of time. He'd get down to their level and put a hand on their shoulder.
"When that time comes, we'll look to you for guidance."
He had a feeling that one day his child would want to follow in your footsteps and in his. If that is truly what they want, who is he to stop them? You two would have a lot of teaching to do until it was time for your child to go off on their own to explore the world. Until then, you both were willing to support their dream.
"I'm sure that you will make this world your own."
Adventuring was in their blood as well as yours and his. So he expected nothing less when his child approaches him with the toy sword. He truly believed that one day, your child would leave the nest and set off to the same way you had.
"You'll be a fine hero someday, just like your mother/father."
He would cheer them on. Of course they'll be like you! He sees so much of you in them already. He is sure that Grand-père Edmont would be less than thrilled to have another (slightly) reckless family member. But nonetheless, he'd be proud.
He would be a little concerned. You were chaotic. And now your child was. He couldn't really say much as he was your chaotic other half. But he wanted your child to really think about this. Don't make any sudden decisions. But if this was a dream that they'd be dead set on, he would support them no matter what. He will even teach them all he knows over time.
