Hey idk who needs this but helpful reminder that "virgin blood" in any witchcraft shit that requires that means "virgin" in the same sense as "virgin hair" means hair that hasn't been dyed or processed in any way, natural in the default sense. So no, "virgin blood" doesn't mean blood from a virgin, just blood that hasn't been used for any other kind of witchy shit earlier.

Whether nor not someone has fucked before is completely irrelevant. Any act of fucking doesn't instantly make someone contaminated or un-magic any of their shit. You're just not supposed to re-use blood for blood magic. That's just not. Just do not. Like that's just weird who does that.

This is extremely obvious to every psychiatric survivor but it doesn't go without saying: It hurts so much when I see people go to a mental health clinic or therapist or interact with psychiatry in whatever way and have a GOOD experience. I know people that come out loving it. That recommend it to everyone and can't shut up about it.

Rationally? Good for them! Emotionally? Ouch.

It sends me spiralling, trying to explain to myself what the differences must have been, wondering if maybe I was full of shit all along, if what happened to me was fine and normal actually and I'm just overreacting or misremembering or making it up. It makes me doubt whether I, or anyone, can believe my own narrative of events, thoughts, and emotions. It exacerbates this doubt that my treatment in the psychiatric hospital was designed to instill in me.

Trying to quell that doubt, to believe that my trauma was real, and to explain why other people can go to a similar place and leave unharmed is the whole reason I'm in antipsych. You can find the undercurrent of that doubt in everything I've written in the #force isnt care tag and I see it in so many other people's writings too.

It's really frustrating how unquestionably self harm vs violence towards others are presented as two equal sides of the same issue when I would argue that those are actually two different issues of wildly different proportions which don't actually benefit from always being presented as two equally significant sides of the same coin, as many mentally ill people self harm while only a small minority ever engages in violence towards other people. Acting like allowing people autonomy in relation to their own bodies and lives is the same thing as allowing anyone to abuse and assault indiscriminately completely misunderstands the core issue of bodily autonomy.

okay before i go i realized i forgot to say the most important things I'd been meaning to post re: listening to tma, and here they are

1) ngl i still don't really understand what those multiple independent Internet strangers meant when they said I "would totally be an avatar of the flesh" but I've gotten far enough to get some idea and I have to say I'm extremely flattered. Thank you for believing in me and my quest to do a bunch of weird shit with raw meat

2) yes, i am attracted to jane prentiss. yes I am also a gay guy but these are extenuating circumstances and I'm making an exception

have continued listening to tma since I don't have much else to do here lol. extremely confused at how little anybody working in the (criminally understaffed) archive seems to know what an archive is or does. also at how nobody appears to ever actually use it? why does nobody from other departments ever go in there? is it not literally for them

I've since figured out that apparently other people do use it, this post was brought to you by jon apparently being totally unaware that anyone touches the files other than himself and his assistants in desecrated host. although honestly after getting farther than that I'm even more distressed at how everything is being run
