250 years of freedom, but for who?

This country's land was ripped away from the First Nations.

And on that stolen land we built the foundations off the backs and blood of enslaved Africans.

And on those foundations we wall away opportunity from people of color, from women, from the disabled, from queer folk.

We slam the door and lock up the door to their prison cells and tell them it's their fault.

It's their fault they didn't inherit wealth and opportunity from their ancestors.

It's their fault they don't have access to the astronomical costs of healthcare.

It's their fault they don't achieve a higher education in underfunded schools.

It's their fault they don't elect the right representatives in gerrymandered districts.

It's their fault they don't have freedom.

So tell me, what are we celebrating freedom for?

Hey all! Once I'm done with some work, I'm going to be streaming Paralives today! Paralives is a new life simulation game that's in early access. Today, I'll be focusing on the Paramaker and creating characters! With that being said, because the game is in early access, I may encounter some bugs, so I may pause every now and then to write a bug report. I work in software, so I like trying to find bugs, so we'll be testing the system and try to do weird things! I hope you'll join! If there are characters you'll want me to make, let me know in stream!
