Again and again I will suffer; again and again I will get back on my feet. I will not be defeated. I won’t let my spirit be destroyed.

It’s funny: I always imagined when I was a kid that adults had some kind of inner toolbox, full of shiny tools: the saw of discernment, the hammer of wisdom, the sandpaper of patience. But then when I grew up I found that life handed you these rusty, bent old tools – friendships, prayer, conscience, honesty – and said, Do the best you can with these, they will have to do. And mostly, against all odds they’re enough.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

I wish I knew what God is doing in my life right now. It's scary, for sure.
Not knowing what God wants me to do next, is truly frustrating. I just need an answer, God. I just need an answer.
WATCH THIS
I just went from having 0 feelings either negative or positive about Taylor Lautner and after watching this and with no other knowledge of him as a person I fully believe that he is a gift to humanity if for nothing other than this single contribution.
Well you guys, I'm going up to NY next weekend. Gonna see if that is really where He wants me to be. If so I'll be moving back to the homeland. Lord, help me trust in You during this time.
I think it’s important to admit the fact that we don’t always want to choose God. We walk through seasons when God is the last thing we want to choose. Seasons where our minds are muddled and our inspiration cracking and our faith sometimes feels paper thin. We are not perfect. We hurt and we are slow to trust and we put our all into people and let our worlds shatter when they leave. We’re human. It’s a catastrophic mess but this is where we meet God. So yes, there are times when we don’t want to choose Him, but we choose Him still because there is not a single moment when He doesn’t choose us.
He’s been God a long time–He knows what He’s doing.
Even when you can’t see it. Even when you can’t believe it.
He knows, He knows. He doesn’t fall off of His throne.
It’s as if my true self can only be found in God, and as I go deeper and deeper, further and further, I not only discover Him – I discover myself.

God is always there for us, but the question is… Are we always there for Him?
