The demon simply smiled, an unnatural parody of the expression, as he silently drew one of his swords. The red blade seemed to whisper as it was withdrawn, malevolent waves of light twisting off of it and tainting the air around them. Its master began to circle the witch, body gliding across the ground with no visible steps. Unnatural. An aberration. Nothing human moved like this. He circled her, relishing in the way blue eyes tracked his every movement. To look away was to die. He could see that knowledge in her wide-eyed gaze and felt his grin grow wider, baring all his fangs. He was practically salivating at her fear. A fear he could see that was matched by determination.
