@ladybuvelle has got some company for festival day!
“You look just like my son, when he was your age!”
An elderly woman cooed to him from her door. He bowed at the sentiment, though didn’t dwell on it for long. Some sort of festival day had been approaching for a while now, or so he had heard for the whimsy of it. If he had come to know Sona for anything, it was her enthusiasm of thought.
“Thank you for ensuring I do not offend…”
“Just get going, dearie.”
With a shooing motion from her, Yi folded his gloved hands away into his hand-me-downs, for lack of a better word, and wandered off into the vague direction of distant festivities. His robes were a faded blue, made so by long years spent unworn. They at least functioned to cover his under-armor, and perhaps they might obscure his identity in how plainly he wore it all. The subtle clatter of his boots – swordless at the very least – did little to aid in that fantasy however.
But motivated by familiarity, and the desire to host well, he made his quick way to where they’d decided to meet. So quickly had he strode, he was still making adjustments to himself as he came into view. Unsure if his hair should be tied, untied, bunned high, or low; his words came out in a preoccupied sort of way as he called, “Sona? That is you, yes? |Give me a moment.|” Though no matter how much he tried, strands of hair seemed to fall defiantly outside of any presentation, “Aiya... I hope I am not late. I wished to make sure I would not distract from the…”
He finally peaked out from a wayward high ponytail, taking in Sona and her festival garb with a cautiously wandering eye. His face painted with subdued amazement, no matter what she chose to wear really, he picked up his thought again, “… day. These festivals, for all their parts, are not known to me so… It has been a chore, making sense of it all. You might know more than me, for the humor of that.” His bushy brow flared with a sort of unknowable smile, “You certainly have done better than me, I will say.”
