Here we have what happened to John after the wolf attack. Turns out it did major damage ( apart from scars) and made him blind in his left eye

In Undead Nightmare, his left eye is missing completely because he doesn't need it. Crazy how I've played this so many times and never thought of this

With the Deadly Assassin outfit, his left eye is covered by an eye patch ! I've got to say all this amazing detail that carried from RDR1 & RDR2 ( even Undead Nightmare)

I can't imagine how much Claire's words probably hurt Leon, unintentionally, in Infinite Darkness-- and I'm not just talking about the ending.

Now I wanna be clear that this isn't me dunking on Claire. From her point of view, this is a pretty normal reaction. Why would her close friend, who nearly died in an event caused in part by the US gov, be working with them now? The outfit, or rather position, really doesn't suit him, but she almost definitely isn't privy to how Leon came to be in this situation.

And then we get to the ending, in which Leon knows he has to with-hold that chip from her, but also understands how upset that will make Claire. He has a moment of contemplation before denying her, recognizing that he values her safety more-- he can live with her being angry at him, he couldn't live with knowing that her leaking the info from the chip would result in her death. It's like he told Shen May earlier: if she leaked that info, she would have every US agent after her, and Leon knows firsthand what happens when the US government gets their hands on you.

Everyone complained about this scene when it came out, but I think it's mostly just due to lack of understanding and misinterpreting what's happening in the scene. While it's frusterating, I actually... kind of like it. It's the good kind of frsuterating for me, the kind where the characters have to struggle a bit, there's some conflict. And we as the audience know why Leon makes the decision he makes, but Claire has a wildly different perspective because she doesn't know what we know. (Plus, we know they make up and are friends again anyway, so all's well that ends well.) This aspect of their relationship is something I really wish Capcom would explore more. Does Sherry know about the deal Leon made? Does Claire? How would they react if they knew? Would Leon ever be able to tell them? If he could, would he? I think it's safe to assume Claire probably doesn't know, otherwise she wouldn't have made those comments, but damn.

I love their friendship so much and wish Capcom made them into an actual couple at some point .. it just makes sense
