Hey yall, not to get to political, but this video is amazing. It is pretty long but I think it accurately diagnoses some of the underlying problems in modern society and then prescribes a better solution. It is well researched and even changed my mind on a few issues. Might be worth a listen.

Be A Man

Hey guys, the story at the beginning is supposed to stand as an amalgamation of many different stories and examples and is not a literal play by play of any specific interaction. The story's only purpose is to set the stage of discussion so I did not feel the need to focus on a specific experience and went for general themes.

"Be a man," is all that cut across the silence of the moment. White hot tears cut down the sides of my face, my vision tinged red with anger and pain. I struggled to fully rise while maintaining eye contact with the one who spoke. My father kept his steady gaze fixed on mine staring back and daring me to challenge his words. I realized what meant nearly immediately. I fought back the pain and embarrassment that came with the situation and rose. As I did, I forced my head clear, the red faded and the situation in front of me resolved itself.

The kid leered at me as I turned to face him. He was making crying sounds and calling out "mom" in an attempt to mock me for the result of approximately 2 minutes ago. He was only 12 but being 4 years older than me it seemed like facing a giant.

I turned to look at the group of adults, silently pleading for their intervention. They had all seen what happened. The kid ran up to my younger brother and taken they toy he was playing with before shoving him to the ground and leaving him crying. It looked like the kid's parents had started moving to intercept him but I, being closer, moved faster. Before I knew it i was in his face demanding he give it back, only to be shoved down and left crying beside my brother.

My dad however, had stopped the adults from moving. My silent plea for intervention fell on dead ears as the words he had directed to me provided all the help I was going to get. The other adults realizing what those words meant stepped back and watched, waiting for something to happen.

I gave up hope of help and turned back to face the bully. I asked him one more time to give back the toy only to be laughed at. Well that settles that, I stepped close and stomped as hard as I could on his toes. He dropped the toy in pain and before he could recover i had the toy and took off towards my family. The bully ran back to his parents crying only to be met by an angry father. He was not seen for the rest of the day. I presented the toy back to my brother only to be called over by the group of parents and praised for my actions.

Maybe my upbringing, and the community I was raised in was special, but I do not understand the negative of be a man. Since I was little I, and all of my friends, have been taught that there are certain actions and feelings that go along with the phrase be a man. The phrase was never about instilling hate against any group, and it certainly was never about repressing emotion. It always meant control and resilience, standing up for the right thing and defending those who cannot defend themselves. All of these things I have found increasingly valuable as I have grown up for various reasons.

Control was not meant to bottle up emotions and never deal with them, control meant the ability to think clearly even in both physical and emotional chaos and pain. This is extremely valuable to teach boys. They scariest thing a majority of people will face these days are almost always a direct result of a man who lacks this control. Control means in the moment not forever, it prevents rash decisions and acting out of anger, the ability to reason should never be lost no matter the circumstances.

Resilience always went hand in hand with bravery persistence, when you fall down you always get back up. Everyone should learn this not just men so I do not see the harm in its inclusion in the phrase. Resilience directly relates to confidence, If i know that i can recover from the setback then what do I have to lose? I now have the willingness to take the action. Confidence is a virtue, sure some people have an overabundance and that can be a detriment however not having enough is just as if not more harmful. Confidence opens doors that you didn't think would open, want the promotion? Try and ask for it. Unsure about switching jobs to something you will like more? Have the confidence to go for it and rely on your ability to recover from the possible setbacks.

I dont really think I need to explain why standing up for what you believe and defending those who cant are good things. Maybe some of you have issue with what people believe and them standing up for it sounds bad, but ideas can be changed and if you can change someone's mind then their willingness to stand up for those new ideas does not change. Now you have someone like minded who will defend the ideals to the grave or until they are disproved. And I know I have heard some say that there are no weak people who need someone to fight for them, but that statement is untrue. In America we have a very sheltered society where for most of us our biggest threat to existence is whether we should have to pay for our own healthcare or if we should pay the government to pay for out healthcare. But in other countries that is not the case and there are people who legitimately need someone to help protect them. Instilling the ideals of helping others when they cant help themselves is not a negative.

These ideals are what the phrase always meant amongst my friend groups and all of our families. I for one live by the phrase and find value in its meaning.

Hey yall, I am working on something big and trying to start a series. I plan on writing this as well as posting my usual things. However, I need some help. I would like to hear some of you favorite and more importantly your least favorite things you have seen in magic/fantasy writing. I already have some general structure and rules to my planned system but I would like to know what you all have liked reading in the past.

I have finally finished finals this semester and will now try and do some more writing. To all of my new followers because of the HASO story, like I said before that was a one off story, however I think I am going to do a rewrite of it because I am not entirely satisfied with the state and flow of it at current.

Quick context for this one, I am/was an army brat and so this is half personal experience half an amalgamation of the experiences of all my friends. Dont necessarily take this as exactly what it's like for everyone as experiences may vary.

Also if any of you like a specific part of this story let me know. I can write at least this much on any subsection of this story alone. So if something catches your eye I am more than happy to write on it.

I sit in a pool of memories slowly drifting from thought to thought. Moving time is upon us and in preperation it's time to purge all unnecessary items from the house. I flash back to when I was younger, my mom is holding up a cheap drive-thru toy. She looks at me expectantly waiting for a response to a silent question.

"Let go," I say as she drops the item in a box bound for good will only to hold up another object of mine.

In years past this process of sorting through all of my belongings was a team effort between my parents and I, but now since I am older and my younger brother needs the help, I am left to my own to sift through my possessions.

I tip over a box of assorted things and wonder through my past lives. Each object acts as a mile marker through my life and each move a save point. Any thing that I have kept until now, my 10th move in 16 years, has, if not clearly designed for enjoyment or play, held some significance to me. Almost nothing out of this box is discarded because as the years go on the importance of these objects only increases.

Not only is this process a reminder for me of all my past appearances, it serves a highly functional purpose. The first is that the government will only pay for so much to be moved and we typically own more than they are willing to pay for, so we cut back. The second reason is in acknowledgment of a harsher reality of the world, people don't care about kids stuff. Unless one takes great care to prepackaged or show that the objects in a child's room are fragile, everything from toys to trophies will all be haphazardly thrown into a random box.

I move on carefully looking over my display case looking for anything that could easily break if not properly stored. My eyes come to rest on a fake flower made out of fabric by my mom. The pain of high school love torn apart bites at my mind. This flower was the partner to the corsage that I gave to my date to prom. I remember being so excited to go with her because I am homeschooled and never thought I would get anything like a prom. But it doesn't matter now, her family moved in the opposite direction that we were going about 4 weeks ago. I almost leave the flower there, resolving to let fate decide if it is valuable, but as I am turning a away my hand reaches out on seemingly its own and drops the fake plant into an old cigar box for protection. I guess I will control fate this time

The house is empty and clean. Everyone is doing one last walk through of this place to make sure nothing is left behind even though something always is. As I look for anything I also remember everything making sure to not leave a single memory trapped in the walls of this temporary home of mine. As I tramp down the stairs, in my head I am gliding gracefully on a piece of a box after moving in. Mom insisted on being safe and I can now almost see the pile of stuffed animals and pillows that my brothers and I had piled at the end of the make shift ramp to satisfy her worry. As I jump into the nonexistent pile, I drop into the living room, where, despite all the cleaning we did, I can still see the spots on the carpet from the feet of the sofa, a sofa my mom was confined to for the better part of our time here while she was busy kicking cancer's ass. A darkness sets at the edge of my vision slowly consuming all I can see as my head is bombarded by negative memories from those days. As I hit the door, the light from outside shatters the dark over my mind like a hammer through glass. As we pull away I want nothing to do with that house again, not even looking back one last time.

I lay piled under the stiff covers of the hotel. It is the night before we leave for the airport and I start to unpack the last few days. They have gone by like a blur but I know I will remember them for years to come. First there was my eagle scout ceremony where I reaped the reward of all my hard work over specifically the last few months but really the past 6 years. It was the last time I will see most of those people given that none of them were military and I plan on never ending up back here. Then there was chapel. The last service at this place where I tried to just act like everything was normal, just a regular Christmas sunday. I showed up 2 hours early just like every week, where I then took my place in the sound booth mixing the best sound that the chapel had in years or so I have been told. It all went wrong though when the preacher leaned his head into the booth telling me to turn on his mic for one quick last announcement, where I was called up on stage for a farewell. However, the one "last time" that I really will miss happened earlier in the day when I hung out with my friends for the last time. The group had shrunk considerably by that time due to a huge fallout between members and others were taken by the army but what remained was solid. As I left them I said seeya because you never know when the army will bring friends back together. Well for that reason and one other. In the days leading up to the move you see everyone at different random times and so you never really know when you will see them for the last time. It is always easier to say a casual goodbye everytime and never actually have a formal one than to treat every farewell like the last one and live the pain multiple times. However, less pain doesn't mean no pain. I blank my mind for the rest of the night gathering all emotions and putting them in a cardboard box to unpack later in more healthy time.

On the plane something magical happens. You see noone but a select few get to rewrite their lives every few years. During transition, when the body and mind are free of the last place, a morph occurs. This change is unseen by all because your family already knows the real you. However you get to change yourself completely before landing at the new place. You get to change what information you share with everyone and by selecting how you act and what you reveal you can choose who you are to everyone. The best part is there is noone from your old life to mess it up and break the illusion and throw a wrench into the act. You can become whomever you want to be. It takes skill to execute properly, it requires that you craft a mask so intricate and durable that noone questions its authenticity and no shock can damage it, but I have had a life times worth of practice. Who will I become only I know and who I was is only stored in the memories of objects in boxes and the minds of people thousands of miles away.

It's been almost 4 years since that move yet it still sticks out in my head. I did not know it at the time but it was the last move I ever made with my family. My plans changed and I started my life before i had originally planned and now moves like that are a thing of the past, a memory held in objects. Unfortunately with growing up requires one last mask switch, this one more permanent. Hopefully my experience beyond my years set my up better than my peers at finding the correct one. Who knows what it will look like when it is finished. I have been working on this one for the longest time of any, nearly 2 years now, much longer than a single plane flight. It won't be done for at least another 2 but we will see. I can only hope I will be happy with this one because unlike the cyclic replacement of masks in my youth, when I decide to put this one on who knows when it will come off.

Hey guys this is a one off dive into the HASO stories. I set in the the amazing universe of @starr-fall-knight-rise, although because of the extreme aspects of the story it is definitely not where they are planning on taking this universe. Consider it a possible alternate ending of their masterpiece. Also holy cow this got way longer than expected. Dont expect a sequel this one was enough of a pain.

300 years had passed since humanity joined the GA and since then there has been an uneasy peace unknown to the humans. Sure there have been conflicts such as the drev and burg war, however the scale of these pale in comparison to what humans consider total war. The humans became a natural threat in the galaxy that no species wanted to fight against. Something was bound to happen eventually although this time it came from an unexpected source.

Some humans now were alive when they showed up. The karviks, they called themselves, were an interesting race. The humans bonded with them immediately because they were the first race to have an innate curiosity about them. They asked why to everything and then went to great lengths to figure it out. Unlike other species who only cared about advancement of knowledge in things directly related to their survival, the karviks wanted to know for the sake of knowing. This made them much like the humans, the only difference is how they went about getting that knowledge. Whereas the humans would hurl themselves head long into the discovery, much to their own harm, the karviks being more fragile, deliberated and acted much more carefully. Theirs was the more sterilized version of the human drive to know.

They fit right in with the humans, and together they were able to advance galactic society 10 fold. However, as part of the karviks entrance into the GA they wanted to know about all its members. They were directed to study the races other than the humans first for simplicities sake. Eventually though, after 50ish years of being in the GA they turned their sights on the humans. It took them nearly 20 years of dedicated study to mostly figure out the intricacies of the human race and culture, and though they carried on as normal what they saw terrified them to their core. They secretly talked with other races about the nature of humans, and though they all assured the karviks that humans really were not that bad once you got to know them, there was no convincing them.

As the years went on the karviks became more and more distant. The GA assumed they would just retreat back to their home world unable to adjust to life in the GA as so many other species had. And for 10 years they lay largely forgotten. The humans were mildly annoying and upset over losing their favorite research buddies, however they eventually coped. It was during this time that we can only assume they obtained the long discarded and ancient work of a disgraced gib scientist about the god trapped within the soul of humans. This is where the galaxy took a turn for the worse.

It was an average year in the GA when suddenly contact was lost with a few exclusively human colonies. When military patrols showed up they found what was left of the colonies dieing and unable to be helped. It appeared as if a new disease had be brought against humanity. However, no suspicion was cast on anyone as disease was common among the humans. Although this appeared more lethal than anything before it there was a great cause for alarm as these two colonies traded heavily with each other and were on largely unwxplored worlds, who knew what was out there that could hurt a human.Much testing was done and thankfully it was discovered that only humans could catch it. Life carried on as normal until the next wave of contagion.

This next batch hit all the remaining outer colonies nearly simultaneously. It moved fast and killed only slightly slower. Upon examination the disease seemed to have mutated to an even more lethal form. However something was unnatural with its mutation. It suggested manual manipulation not merely the product of nature. This is when suspicion began to be cast. It was decided that for the time being everyone was a suspect. Much to the disapproval of the GA the humans enacted a universe wide recall of all humans who were not on a human colony or earth an moved all aliens off world. In what seemed almost a reinforcing move the virus began popping up on every non human world.

The work for a cure had begun in earnest at about this time and humans had cut all imports from the galaxy. The galatic economy collapse and in the ruble accusations arose. Each race was blaming the other for hostile acts against the humans and driving them from the assembly. It was all the GA could do the hold the galaxy together.

The karviks were notably quiet, and almost would have been successful in their plot against humanity if not for the luck of the humans.

In their 10 years since leaving the GA they had diverted all of their research into military power. It was something they had never done in history. Because of their nature war was an unheard of phenomenon on their planet. They had no conflict, not even minor resource struggles. They were always to busy wondering to even consider fighting, it would only hamper discovery. So when they needed to militarize they took all their inspiration from the most overkill warriors in the galaxy, humans. They had developed stealth ships that would be undetectable by humans not specifically looking for them, and they developed a super virus that would take the humans years the cure, not that they expected humans to live that long.

One fateful farmer named Jerome plinth would knowingly be one of the few reasons why humanity survived. He was working on his harvester when a large metal tube crashed down into his fields and began spewing a thick purple vapor. In his investigation he took several photos and sent them to the authorities. When investigators showed up to his property he had already passed and word was sent immediately to the UN. Around this same time a UNSC ship in orbit was conducting maintenance on their sensor package and had just started to check the system scanning all frequencies when a strange signal was intercepted. It was on a channel that had been discovered by a human-karvik research team and then classified for use only by the humans. This coupled with the unique manufacturing style on the tubes gave away the identity of the attacking party. Unfortunately this information would come to late for anyone on the inner colonies, as the karvicks warped into the orbits of all the remaining colonies at once. There was nothing left except for the shattered remains of planets struck by artificial meteors.

If there is one thing that humans are know for it is their ability to beat the odds and do the impossible. The virus that was designed in such a way as to be nearly impossible to find a cure for was cracked with the week. Revenge for the fallen can drive humans beyond what is though possible even to them. A vaccine was quickly distributed to the remaining humans, now only a quarter of what they once were. Plans for revenge moved though the upper leadership of the UNSC until a solution was found. The GA was notified of the plan however no permission was asked for, not that it would have been given. The GA was horrified by the lengths that humans would go to in war and had never seen anything so barbaric and yet elegant and poetic before. They briefly thought about trying to prevent the humans from acting but for fear of the humans turning on them decided to not interfere.

They humans prepared a final defensive fleet around earth in what appeared to be a last ditch effort against the inevitable finale assault by the karviks. When the assault came it came with a vengeance. The karvik fleet out numbered the humans at least 10 to 1. However the human fought hard, when the fighting dropped to the ground the humans deployed tactics not used since the end of their second world wars. Even with this barbarian fighting they were still losing and losing bad. Until out of nowhere the karvicks retreated. They plan had worked. Victory was won.

Unknown to the karvicks a single stealth vessel was sent to their home world. The humans inside gleefully released the canisters sending enough of the virus to wipe out 10 worlds. One of the first things done once the virus was cracked was to reverse it an make a strain 15 times worse than than released on the humans, one that spread fast and killed oh so slow, that was only compatible with the karvick. The GA watched on in horror as the humans totally eradicated the karvick race, sparing noone. They were once again for the first time in centuries reminded of the destructive power of the humans scorned.

After the war the humans cut themselves off from the galaxy, only occasionally sending messages to maintain knowledge on the GA and any scientific breakthroughs of the galaxy. The GA recovered and let the humans have their peace wanting them to cool down before once again stretching out amongst the stars.

On earth the humans were working. Under the guise of preventing another incident like they had just endured, they underwent forced evolution. The genetic code of every developing human was altered. In a single generation all genetic disease was permanently removed from humans and modifications were applied. Much of the inspiration came from the hero of a long dead video game about some destructive rings. The base human became so strong, tall, and powerful that not even the military prosthetic from the defunct steel eye suits could keep up with them. Humans also guy integrated themselves with technology, wiring a computer directly into their brain and replacing the lenses of their eyes to allow them to see in thermal, IT, and have a natural zoom mechanic. They became super soldiers, with titanium bones and a baseline strength 10 times higher than before. They decreased their reaction time to less than 10 milliseconds and and enhanced their lifespans significantly. Now the base human remained in their physical and mental prime for nearly 300 years only to rapidly degrade and die in 5. They removed the bodies ability to atrophy and develop fat deposits growing nearly 2 ft above the old average. They became the terrifying stuff or nightmare. However they elected to keep the personality of humans, never able to give up what makes them them. We dubbed ourselves the grown, and after 70 years of isolation most of the old have died out, leaving only us. Now all children are grown and it will continue this way forever. We evolved ourselves.

We sent our body modifications to the GA so they can update their records on humanity and will begin moving back into our home among the stars within the month. We look forward to having friendly duels with the drev and resuming our work with the vrul scientist soon. The tesriki can expected trade to reopened within the week. Despite the new bodies we, humanity, are still the same as we have always been in spirit and in personality. We look forward to rejoining the galaxy. We are sorry for they isolation but we needed to finish getting over a bad break up.

END TRASMISSION: HUMANITIES SPEECH REAGRDING ISOLATION AND PLANS OF REJOINING THE GALAXY

The GA members looked around the room at each other. "What...." the drev leader was the first to break the silence. None had any words after witnessing the speech. They all were thinking the same, if that is what happens when humanity is brought to its knees then it is best in future to keep them propted up.

"Do we even let them back in?" Queried one of the factions in the back of the room. "What choice do we have?" The drev leader countered.

They all continued to stare in silence and horror at the black screen before them. The unanimous agreement with the drev leader hanging in the room. It seemed best to avoid another bad break up with the humans.

Hey guys if you disagree please tell me why I am interested to hear y'alls point of view but this is just my thoughts on diversity in stories.

I honestly have never understood the big deal about diversity in tv, stories, and video games. When I turn to any of those mediums I have never cared or even thought about the physical characteristics of the people playing the roles. I take that back. I care about what the character looks like only in a few situations. A) does it makes sense for either the time or the setting. Like if I was watching a show following the Americans in WW1 I would be pulled out of the experience if all of a sudden there were female American soldiers fighting along side the men because it doesn't make sense historically ( yes I know there were some women that fought in WW1 but not in enough numbers to make it a common sight). B) if the movie is an adaptation from a book I want generally consistent characters so that I can easily recognize them from the second they are on screen. Otherwise I literally dont care at all what the main characters look like, as long as that isn't their only defining feature and they are not given exemption from criticism just because of their characteristics. For instance take Rey from starwars, when I saw all the ads back before the first movie came out, I was excited, not because she was a female but because I love star wars. When I saw the movie I felt I had some valid issues with the way the character was written. I think it doesn't make alot of sense that she was able to beat kylo (a highly trained force user) just days after she found a lightsaber for the first time. However when I raised these points on my previous account I was nearly crucified for hating on women. I dont care what gender Rey is I just wanted a great story. If it had been a guy playing her I still would have had the same issues. I think that's my biggest problem with the way diversity in entertainment is being handled. It seems like writers are making characters come from some under represented group and using that as an excuse to have lazy character design. I want a good story first and foremost and when writers make the defining feature of a character their physical appearance then most of the time it comes at the expense of good story. Like I don't care when the main guy is gay but if that is all you thought of when designing him and so instead of having meaningful character development you decide to just throw in a bunch of gay makeout scenes of course i will be mad, not because of what's happening on screen but because of what is not happening, a compelling story. If I am going to spend money buying a movie or a game I want to be captivated by a story, not be constantly reminded that the protagonist is a black female. I don't think diversity makes up for lazy storytelling. Now before I get hate here too, I can think of countless diverse characters that I love, princess leia, asoka, the entire cast of jumanji 2 and so many more. As long as your character has something else to offer the story other than the statement "I am *fill in the blank with whatever diversity option available," then I am all in on the story.

What Lives in the Dark

Hey guys this one is a little scary be warned.

He stands there in the woods of on the edge of camp just watching. The fire in the center of the clearing has long since burned down, leaving only the coals casting only enough light to be used as a becon to guide the way into camp. The laughter that once emanated from the camp has now been replaced by silence save for a soft snore coming from one of the tents. Now it's common knowledge not to leave the campsite after the fire has burned away and everyone is asleep. They say that's when the shadows begin to move and the voices start to speak. One does not want to be found by themselves in the woods where the light is not present. Unfortunately he had to pee. He stumbled out of his sleeping bag and threw on his shoes just enough that he could walk across the grass and to the wood line to pee. He didn't bother waking up fully, hoping that he would be able to finish quickly and fall immediately back to sleep. He trod to the wood line still half asleep trying to find somewhere near the clearing to do his business. Even in his bleary state he tried to keep his head down and only look out into the woods for the shortest amount of tme he could manage. He knew as well as the next person that whatever was out there might let you pass as long as they weren't seen. Just as he was finishing up something instantly pulled him out of his groggy state. Goosebumps appeared on his arms even though it was a warm night. Before he could stop himself his head snapped up pupils rapidly widening only to immediately shrink the the smallest size where he could still see as they quickly scanned locking on any possible targets. He focused hard trying to figure out what had tipped him off. He heard nothing... wait... what had caused the background noise of the woods to suddenly stop as it had? Was it him? He tried to think back to when he approached the wood line trying to remember if he heard anything then. He was having trouble remembering as his body shunted more and more focus and effort into preparing his fight or flight response. THERE. His head snapped around as a shadow moved near the edge of his vision. He continued scanning nearly as quickly as he had looked as he realized that it was just the moving clouds that caused the shadow to shift. He tried to relax telling himself that his mind was only playing tricks on him. He had probably seen a piece of grass move in the wind and that sent his whole body into a panic and now it was all just the deceptions of the mind. Even though the logical side of his head was telling himself this he couldn't calm himself he just kept standing and staring. Just as he was about to turn back to the campsite something touched his back. He dropped his weight low and spun around. As he spun his leg kicked out in front of him in a sweeping motion and struck home sending whatever had touched him slamming into the ground. "What the hell!" His friend exclaimed. Immediately he relaxed, his nerves unwound and slumped back into place at the sight of his friend. "Sorry, I thought I heard something." He helped his friend to his feet and they headed back toward the campsite. I finally moved from my spot perched just about head height on a boulder casting long shadows as I moved. He was lucky his friend showed up because the last place he began looking at was my perch and if he had seen me... Well looks like I will have to try the next campsite over if i plan on claiming one.

I find it hard to play video games anymore. I am part of the primary audience for them, a young guy. However, I can't play many of my favorite video games anymore. My all time favorite game ever is halo. I have been playing since reach came out and I have since played every single game multiple times through. I remember being captured by the world created, by the ethical dilemma of being this hero taken from his family and molded into a weapon as a child. I read all of the books and kept up with all the lore of the universe but now I can hardly stand to touch it. I feel nothing but nostalgia when I think of the good tmes I had because of the games. The countless allnighters with friends, playing around with my brothers in forge for hours, and being enthralled by the story. Now I can barely sit through a single mission much less a whole campaign. And this isn't just an issue with halo it's every single story based game. I think it's because I think to much on the good times that I no longer have. Friends that I used to stay up all night with crushing in firefight havent been online in years. They just vanished out of the blue after saying see you tomorrow. I can't play though an open game without inevitably thinking back on the good times I dont know if I will ever have again. Anytime there is a lull in the action, or anytime I am in an open world like minecraft I cant help but think of the days gone by that I miss. That's why the only games I find enjoyment in now are ones that require immense skill and don't really have a story. I play rainbow six constantly because I have to always be focused on what is happening around me and what I am doing. I never have that time to think about the days long past. Even when I play games like SWBF2 I only play multiplayer and not even to live out fantasies of being a jedi slashing my way through battle droids to say the republic, but simply to top the scoreboard and prove I have the mechanical skill to be there. I hope I can recapture the old magic of video games. I have somewhat found a little of it with SWJFO but even then although invested in the story i found myself focused more on the mechanics of combat. One day though I know I will find something that speaks to me the way halo first did and I will rediscover what gaming should be.
