Eep, no heart attacks, nonnie! I think the plan right now is to go back and tweak it a little bit, make it a standalone story rather than a fic (i.e. change the names, some of the characterizations), and maybe try and get it published someday! so I’m thinking I’ll probably be taking Heard ‘Em Say down in the next couple days. It needs some editing, and tbqh, I’m thinking about tweaking some of the story and the characters and seeing if I can’t maybe make it publishable? I’ll probably repost it at a later date, but I just wanted to let people know, in case you wanted to catch the ending before I pull a Disney Vault. I don’t know if this is relevant to anyone, but I just thought I’d let y’all know.

Hi, I LOVE your story Heard 'Em Say. It's so well written and well thought out, and it feels so real. I was wondering how you came up with the inspiration for it? And did you have it all planned out ahead of time or do you think of it as you go? It's literally perfect, I don't know how you do it.

Oh wow, this is such a kind comment. Uhm, to answer your questions, I’ve always sort of liked basketball. I’m involved in my university’s program, so my life basically revolves around it during the winter. It’s something that I know a lot about, and I thought it would be a fun scenario to play around with. 

As far as planning, I don’t really do a lot of it generally. I have a couple ideas of like scenes that I want to include and maybe a general idea of where I want it to go, but up until like the last ten chapters, I don’t really plan anything. It just sort of happens, and whatever feels right, feels right. 

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me this. As I’m finishing it up, it’s really great to hear peoples’ thoughts on Heard ‘Em Say, and hearing such positive feedback ... I couldn’t be happier with it. Thank you again.

okay, but why do people go out of their way to be negative? i get that everybody has opinions, and some of them are strong. and i get the whole psychological theme of upward and downward comparison. but why exert so much time and effort just to put somebody down? it feels like there are better ways people could spend their energy.
