Headcanon #3-Odd's Sexuality

I am one of those firm believers in Odd’s bisexuality. It is mostly in his mannerisms, and the way he flirts wit literally everyone. He probably greatly prefers women, but I think that, if the right guy were to ask (cough-Ulrich-cough), then he would probably be pretty open. It isn’t just because of the way he dresses, though his clothes seem to be more of an attention thing than anything else. It’s the way he sits close to people, and the way he teases and flirts with every member of the team and several other characters of any gender. He is a little less judgmental of people in general, and this may be because of his differing sexuality. Members of the lgbt community tend to be a little more open, I think. He would likely be rather blasé about it, as I don’t imagine his family would be too bothered. It seems like something that wouldn’t be mentioned simply because no one asked. Anyway, that’s just my idea. It’s late and I can’t think of a more… Eloquent way to word it. I may edit this sometime. Hmm... -sorry, posted this on the wrong blog lol

Threw some colors on. :)  The colors Odd is wearing are actually my favorite palette.  I have a serious problem. XD  This'll probably be the most I do with it.  No shading or anything unless I feel really inspired, which I don't at the moment.  I'm just so tired lol.

Just wanting to let you know, Odd’s parents do have names. They’re never mentioned in the show (Aside from Mr. And Mrs. Della Robbia), but in the Novels, his parents are named Robert and Marguerite. It’s mentioned on the Wiki Page in the Trivia section at the bottom of the page. ^^

Oh hey, that’s cool to know!  You can tell I haven’t been in the fandom in a while.  I need to read up on some things, xD  A lot has changed, which is not something I expected, to be fair.

So anyone who’s read my fanfiction knows that it is my personal headcanon that Odd is from Italy. I haven’t seen any of the new series, but I don’t think there’s been much to prove me wrong.

My only reasons for believing this are the fact that Odd has to get on a plane to get home (not surprising...

So I did some research and I found out that apparently some sources are now saying that Odd is, in fact, from Italy.  I'm 99% sure that nothing said so before . . .  Hmm.  Is this a new development or is it just something a lot of other people agree on?  Please, this would be cool to know. :D

So I wanted to draw Odd at around 18-20 years old, and this is what I came up with.  I kinda like it. :)  I'll prob color it after work today, or tomorrow.

Headcanon #2: Odd's Family

So not a whole lot is said about Odd's family, and we only get to meet his parents once while his sisters are only mentioned.  However, we do know that he has five sisters, and can infer that he has no brothers.  They are listed by name once in the series, while the French Wikipedia lists their names as Pauline, Elisabeth, Marie, Adèle, and Louise.  It does mention at one point that Odd can't differentiate between Adèle and Pauline, so it can be assumed they are twins.  His parents are not given names.

Now, it's anyone's guess where they fall as far as ages.  We only know that Odd is the youngest and that Adèle and Pauline are most likely twins.  This leaves a lot of room for headcanons, I think, lol.

I choose to ignore the painfully stereotypical French names here for my Italian headcanon.  I knew the names before I decided on Odd's origins, and they change nothing to me.

Now, it can also be somewhat assumed that, due to how young Odd's parents appear to be (they lack any discernible age, unlike Sissy's father and Yumi's parents), that most of the girls were born close to each other.  Probably within ten years or a little more.  It is my personal opinion, given the way Odd relates his past, that there may be a bit more of a gap between his age and his sisters', though it could also be attributed to his different gender.

There is no way of knowing what their personalities are, though I imagine with the sheer number of them, they have to be somewhat diverse.  I personally like to think at least one of them is involved in a band of some kind, as it seems like something Odd's family would do. 

But given the personalities of Odd's parents, and the way Odd says he was treated as a young child, I imagine his sisters would have been a lot like Odd in the past and even now, with their parents smiling on.

If anyone else has some headcanons involving Odd's family, please, throw 'em out here!  I love hearing about them, lol.

So anyone who's read my fanfiction knows that it is my personal headcanon that Odd is from Italy.  I haven't seen any of the new series, but I don't think there's been much to prove me wrong.

My only reasons for believing this are the fact that Odd has to get on a plane to get home (not surprising since he lives at a boarding school and often kids com from far parts of the country for such things, but whatevs), and the fact that Odd is shown to be fluent in Italian, which, for someone as dismal in classes, seems a little out of place.  Then again, his knowing French the other way around would be just as strange, but he'd have to learn if he wanted to go to school in France, obviously.  So I don't expect anyone else to believe the same thing, but hey, why not?

Decided to start this blog to profess my love for this stupid animated cat-boy.    Not sure how I feel about the brown eyes, but it is canon, so we'll give it a shot I guess, lol.  I'll post other pictures I've drawn of him over the years.  Anyway, I'll also post my headcanons and links to my fanfictions.  :)  I ship Oddrich, so viewer be warned I suppose.  Ulrich and the other characters will find their ways onto this blog, so don't fuckin whine about it.
