"Hello, Granny." I grinned, dressed and made up with my favorite curled blond wig, when the door opened. I was rolling a double stroller about, with a couple of small bags hanging off the sides. Containing the basics such as bandages, fresh diapers and supplies, food, and their bottles. Each twin was awake, holding a soft plush bear and looking around at the world. "May we come in?" I asked gently, letting her have some time to take the sight of the twins in.

Granny smiled as she saw the twins then stepped back, "please, come in Jonathan. Go on through to the sitting room and I will make us some tea." Then she reached out and hugged him awkwardly. This was what reminded her she was right to start over with him, the love she felt from him.

Miriam sighs lightly to herself. Chapel. Her time here will not be fun. Perhaps she’ll finally see the children now though, she thinks.

She nods and follow after Miss Keeny, papers in hand. She feels nervous; both worrying about what she’d have to do in chapel and eager at the possibility of seeing the children. She hopes she can make some kind of difference in their lives with Miss Keeny.

Granny led them up to the small chapel she had set up in one of the bedrooms.

Inside a small altar with a cross stood along one wall, the waning daylight shone on to it and rows of hard wooden chairs faced it. 6 or 7 children, of varying ages, sat meekly in those seats although they all rose to their feet as Granny arrived.

She pointed to a seat, indicating Miriam should take it, then moved to the front, "let us sit down and repeat the Lord's Prayer."
