Can we erase the idea that low-wage workers being visibly human on the clock is "unprofessional." It does not hurt customers to see cashiers drinking from water bottles or sitting on chairs. But water deprivation and forced standing are both established forms of torture. Hope this helps 😘

Hello everyone, a very dear friend of mine was recently essentially kicked out by her family. Her parents found out her HRT and gave her an ultimatum: stop taking her hormones, or leave the house. She wasn't gonna stop after fighting so hard to get them, so she decided to leave.

She's currently on her way to a friend's house to crash on their couch, but the move means she has to start anew: she could only take some of her stuff (mostly what she knew she would need), she has to find a new apartment, and a new job.

She's safe, but very emotionally drained by the whole situation. She also will need a lot of help rebuilding her life, so I'm here on her behalf asking you to do just that.
