Friendly reminder that if you’re not straight and your partner or partners are not straight, then your relationship is not somehow “straight” just because of the gender(s) of people involved.
i dont get offended at white people jokes even though im white because:
i can recognize white people as a whole have systemically oppressed POC in america, which is where i live
most people when they make white people jokes only mean the shitty white people and i am not a shitty white person
im not a pissbaby
my white friends that have reblogged this give me life
4. Sometimes I am a shitty white person and the jokes remind me to FUCKIN STOP
If ur white and like this post I fux with u
^absolutely
5. It’s hard to be offended when white people jokes involve bland food/tourist dads in socks and sandals/white girls in yoga pants obsessed with pumpkin spice/suburban PTA moms and other harmless and mostly true stereotypes while jokes about POC involve them being called thugs/criminals/slurs/uneducated/illegal immigrants.
i fucks with u heavy if ur white and you reblog this
6. They’re usually really fucking funny and don’t perpetuate stereotypes that will ever affect me economically, politically, or cause me any true harm, let alone create risks that “justify” my murder and/or death
Waits for my white mutuals to reblog😌

You lot see a woman dating a camp or "effeminate" man and go "haha does she know she's a beard" as if bi men don't exist and don't have cause to subvert gender norms/have a complicated relationship with masculinity, regardless of who they're dating.
There’s also this implication that these women who date “effeminate” men can’t be genuinely attracted to them and are naive and oblivious towards their effeminacy. It a complete refusal to acknowledge that not only do gnc bi men exist, but women can be and are actually attracted to them. There doesn’t have to be settling or smoke screens in the relationship for it to work.
Hi, so I’m curious about other autistics having sex... I feel like I’m super into it until it actually is happening, and then my body freaks out. I’m guessing this is some sort of sensory thing. Any tips for getting my body to agree with my brain that sex is fun and good?
If your body is resisting something, then you’ve got to pay attention to exactly what’s going on at that moment to figure out WHAT is causing that reaction. The minute you realize something’s amiss, stop, and take stock of all 5 senses. It may not even be a touch that’s unpleasant, it could be a smell, or a sound, or a taste, or a sight. I know I can’t have sex in the dark, my brain just FREAKS OUT, I need the lights on. It probably took me two years to figure that out, lol. My partner can’t have sex during the day. He needs it to be night. Autistic brains are so particular, we need ALL the senses to be “right” in order to enjoy ourselves.
A good clue would be, does it happen only when you have sex with a partner, or does it happen when you masturbate, too? Masturbation is a REALLY good way to figure out what your sensory input tolerances are, because you are in complete control of everything that’s happening, so you can stop, think, get your bearings. Sex is FULL of sensory input, so much, so many, all the senses, and so it can easily get overwhelming. You have to experiment to find out what, exactly, is the issue (or it could be several issues).
It also might not be sensory. There can be other reasons why your body freaks out during sex, such as anxiety, or perhaps you need to happy stim but aren’t letting yourself because of masking. But no matter what it is, LISTEN to your body, don’t try to force it to do something it doesn’t want. Your body is, ultimately, being controlled by your brain- and so your brain is putting the brakes on for SOME reason. Until you find out what that reason is, listen to your body, it’s giving you clues.
I used to do things pre-diagnosis and think to myself, “adults don’t do that.” Adults don’t scooter on the backs of shopping carts or lay upside down on the couch or jump up and down while watching TV. But after I got diagnosed with ADHD I realized that adults DO all those things, cuz here I am doing all these things and I’m an adult.
So basically what I’m trying to say is, don’t shame yourself into not doing harmless things that make you happy just cuz you think people your age shouldn’t do it.
Watercolor Pride Feathers
Jody Edwards on Etsy
[ ID: A series of watercolor paintings of feathers colored with the colors of different pride flags. The feathers are all slightly different, but each image has two feathers bent toward one another with their stems touching, making them similar to the shape of a heart. In order: rainbow, a pic with several of the paintings together (pan, trans, bi, ace, non-binary), and then separate pics each of pan, trans, bi, ace, non-binary. END ID. ]
My boyfriend bought the wrong cotton balls, and now I have 200 cotton balls that squeak when I touch them and make me go 🥴
So I just checked my appointment summary from my last doctor’s visit, and it says my ideal weight is 20lbs lighter?!?!? Not even the bs online BMI calculator thinks I should lose that much weight. I haven’t weighed that little since I was in middle school. I feel so weird about this now.... I know I’m definitely not overweight at all, and I’m baffled that this is on my record suggesting that I aim for a dangerously low weight
To everyone who tries shaming people with “y’all are too busy with [insert frivoulous fad here] to care about [insert important world issue here]”
It’s not healthy to only think about the negative.
Please reblog this if you believe that people under the age of 18 still need to have privacy and being a minor does not invalidate their feelings/need to have a safe space.
Yes this 100%
“But there was one scenario in which the Autistic people left a positive first impression: when people read a transcript of their words instead of seeing and hearing the Autistic people saying those words, observers rated them as more likable and more intelligent. In fact, in the scenario where observers just read the written words of Autistic and non-autistic people, they rated both groups the same. For non-autistic people, the written transcripts were their lowest-rated mode of communication, although only by a small amount. For Autistic people, the written transcripts were their highest-rated mode of communication by a very significant margin. Written communication is the great social equalizer. Remember this if you start to fear your Autistic child is spending too much time interacting with others online and not enough time interacting with others face-to-face. Online communication is a valid accommodation for the social disability that comes with being Autistic. We need online interaction and this meta-study demonstrates exactly why that is the case.”

Note for all those people who prefer written communication as “objectively better” or are confused why so many people prefer spoken communication.
