“I know… I’m not mad.” I missed being able to look at your face in person and being able to reach out and touch you and to feel your lips against mine, so I couldn’t hold back. He doesn’t say that much, of course. His feelings for Rin are too strong and overwhelming for him to put into words like that.

That look on his lover’s face said all he needed to know. Rin knew that the brunet wouldn’t lie to him, and he absolutely couldn’t keep it from his expression. Not anymore. Most people probably thought Haru to be expressionless, but Rin knew better. He could tell by the light in his eyes and how they lit up, however small. Though he was nowhere near Makoto’s level of sensing such things, he would strive to get there. But he knew leaving to go to Australia effectively wounded that. He would just have to make up for lost time.

“Hey come here,” Rin spoke softly, a hand extended out to the other swimmer so he could pull him closer. “I’m here now. I’m sorry I had to go off. I’ll be here with you for a month, so let’s spend as much time together as possible. We’ll do whatever you want to do.”

He continues to kiss Rin until he decides it’s time to pull away–but that takes more will power than it probably should have and he keeps lingering.

Kissing for so long had Rin slowly running out of breath, so by the time Haruka pulls back, the redhead can’t help but to inhale deeply, a soft shade of red tinting his face.

“Oi, oi.. I don’t try to piss you off all the time.”

Haruka stood in the doorway to his kitchen where Rin was getting himself ready for work. He leaned against one side of the wall, dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie, his hair mussed and his cheeks a bit flushed from the fever he was running. He couldn’t stay in bed when he felt so bad about not helping to see Rin off. Truth was, he selfishly wished Rin wouldn’t have to go to work today, but he knew that was impossible to ask for.

“I just got up to feed Tuna…” he said as an excuse, his voice sounding rather hoarse. When he looked towards Tuna’s bowl, he realized it was already full, as was the water bowl. Rin had taken care of that too, huh…

He slowly returned his tired gaze to his boyfriend, his eyes almost looking longing. He couldn’t help it–he didn’t want Rin to go anywhere today. Instead of going to bed, he slid into a chair at the table, where he assumed Rin was planning to eat breakfast. “When will you be home?”
