A slight hum of her lips. “Leola. You can call me Leola.” It was her middle name, not everyone knew that. They only knew Venus or Princess. Really, did anyone bother to learn her full name?

She looked to be thinking her choice of words. She knew how worried Tuya could get over her, some of the guards were like that— Just not as open as Tuya. Like christian, he worried, but would bluntly say it usually instead of fretting like a mother hen over her chicks.

            Actually, the mother hen was Ferio and everyone else were the other animals on the farm.

                         And Venus is the one chick on the whole farm.

After a while, the female spoke. "Xochipilli. I want to go to Xochipilli island."

"Leola. Right, got it...!" It was actually a much prettier name than 'Nessie'. Really, what was Tuya thinking? Even if she was hiding that she was a princess, calling her 'Nessie'?! That was just in bad taste.

Still, there were more pressing matters at hand. Namely the princess. The pirate forced himself to focus on her, nervously waiting for her response to his question. He honestly couldn't remember her being so...rebellious? Venus had always been so energetic, yes, but never would Tuya have dreamed to find her outside of the palace. Especially not like this, but that another matter entirely.

His eyes went wide at what he was told, though, completely caught off guard. "Ah, but Pri--er... Leola, do you have any idea how dangerous that place is...?!" he blurted out, wincing at how loud his voice probably seemed. When he spoke again, Tuya made sure to keep his voice much quieter. "N-Not that I don't think that you're incapable, but... Xochipilli is dangerous for even the top officers in the military. Even then, it's hard just to find. It could take months for you to get to it, even if the ship found the exact spot where it's supposed to be...!"

            「 ☀ 」Actually, it was more startling than anything to know that there was trouble happening and for once it was not at the fault of the captain of the Gyrfalcon. Although, he supposed the other only really had a penchant for trouble when it involved old enemies and little more beyond that. Hand would lift, idly scratching at his cheek before there was a pause and a quiet sigh in reply. The other had once been under the employ of the royal family, he noted. It was not a fact that went forgotten by the eyes of the members and he supposed that perhaps that was why the others - including himself - opted to distance themselves from the redhead. Especially when he spoke so positively of them.                    ”In any such case, it’s none of our concerns. That is entirely the problem of the military and the government to handle on their own. I’d be more concerned about our own lives and count us lucky that no members of our own crew were harmed. I heard at least one of the Albatross has fallen to the whims of the royal family.”

As dense as Tuya could be sometimes, he was aware of how the crew thought of him. It hadn't been unexpected, given his circumstances. He already had toned down the way he talked about the royal family, but...well... It didn't change much now. And the doctor's words only reminded him of such, the tone of his words managing to not go over Tuya's head for once. "I know, it's just... I guess hold habits die hard." Really hard. The redhead frowned, occupying his mouth for a few moments with a good, long drink of tea. "...I guess this means I should stop asking the captain if I could spend a week in Aithria?"

Tuya’s just casually lying on his back on deck, though his legs were reaching up and over the railing of the ship. Almost like he was sitting on it, though in the wrong way. The pirate was strangely comfortable, whistling one of the old lullabies that his mother used to sing to him.

At first, he was speaking of  a passenger ship, giving her directions on where to go and who to talk to and then…

          Oh no.

>This whole trip will go to waste if her ex-royal guard says her name! What luck would have it that she would actually see someone who used to be part of the royal guard. Tuya. A guard who she remembers because of his red hair that could be seen a mile away.

                    “Tuya, no!”

Her hand went to his mouth as she raising a finger to her lips, giving the universal signal for staying quiet. “Please don’t say my name. No one knows I’m here. Oh, please don’t give me away, please, please, please.” A pleading look went to her face. She was so desperate for this mission to work, she couldn’t dare go back to the castle when she hasn’t even left Aithria yet.

A muffled yelp came from the pirate, instantly silencing himself at her command. Or... Well, sort of command? Did it even count? Who knows? He still promptly shut the hell up, shocked that she was more upset he had been about to call her name.

Not like he was going to complain; Tuya was going to count his blessings where he found them.

After a moment, he reached up to gently push her hand away, the scarf soon being returned (albeit sloppily) to it's place around his face. "I-I won't, I promise," he assured her with a hushed voice, moving to get back to his feet. "But Pr-- I m-mean...ah... Nessie?" That was going to have to do for now. "What are you going to do...?!" He was trying his hardest not to openly fret, like he had done plenty of times when he was her guard.

Well, not her guard specifically, but that wasn't the point.

Even so, there was still a slight problem. The princess had snuck out of the castle, without a word to anyone! What was she even planning to do?!

            「 ☀ 」How naive he was. Although, he supposed it was better that the other had simply taken it for as it was rather than question. What kind of people exactly was he on this ship with in the first place, he thought. “Although, I have mixed chemicals in this so I’m not entirely sure of what will happen." A quiet smile, the doctor stirring the contents of the cup before drawing a small sip of the tea himself. "The accidents?" Eyes would lift, a pause as he would blow across the top. "You mean to tell me that Zachariah wasn’t the cause of them for once?”

"He isn't! It's actually kinda weird?" He was quietly running his thumb across the lip of his cup, a mildly perplexed look on his face. "Especially with everyone that's being blamed. I mean, I can understand people blaming the government... But I've heard a lot of people saying Alcyon has been doing it. And, heck, there was a whole group of them at the last port saying that the prince and princess were the ones ordering for people to be hurt!" Which, naturally, Tuya refused to believe; Both siblings were just too kind to do something that horrible.

There was something bigger going on here, he just knew it. "I'm just worried that something really bad is going to happen soon..."

            「 ☀ 」”Yeah." He would reply, blowing across the top of his own cup before drawing a small sip until he was prompted once again. Eyes would lift, a pause before he would lower it again from his lips. "Because I can. Any other questions?" He’d reply, offering a small roll of the eyes before he would draw another sip before setting it back down onto the table. "I ran out of cups.”

"Oooh... Okay, that makes sense." Running out of cups would be a good reason to put it in a beaker. Tuya should probably remember that. If he ever got a beaker, that is. The pirate swirled his tea a bit, before drinking a bit more. It tasted a bit weird to him... But it was nice to get something warm into his stomach. "...Hey, have you heard about the accidents lately?" he asked, trying to make idle conversation. "There's been some really bad ones... I wonder who's doing them."

            「 ☀ 」He would only give the other a sickeningly sweet smile before it would fade and Teo would only bow his head in reply before turning to his teapot. Pouring out the contents of it into a tea cup for the other, into a beaker for himself before he would set it back down. Offering the cup to the other. “I was already preparing it, so you’ll have to bear with drinking a little green tea. It’s good for you, anyways.”

"Really?" Right, the doctor drank a lot tea, didn't he? He couldn't remember. Oh well, at least the green tea smelled good! Tuya took the offered cup with a polite 'thank you', blowing on it before taking a small sip. "...Why you put yours in there?" he asked after a moment, genuinely curious about the beaker.

            「 ☀ 」Don’t mind the quiet laughing. He wouldn’t mean anything by it. Or at least, not as far as the other needed to be concerned with anyways. “Good." A pause as he’d let go of his arm before turning his wheels and rolling towards his desk, a glance over his shoulder. "Take care to. I’m no fan of having to listen to it pop back into place, I hope you know." Actually, he was. But Tuya didn’t need to know that. "But since you’re here, would you like to have a cup of tea with me?”

"Yeah, I would've figured." Actually, he hadn't. Tuya was pretty sure nobody liked the sound of joints popping back into place, but sometimes he was convinced that Teo was at least a little sadistic. He gave a weak laugh and grin, his hand slipping to rub at the back of his neck. "That does sound nice, though. Do you have any spice tea?" It was his favorite kind of tea. And...honestly the only kind he's ever had.

            「 ☀ 」Oh. Was that laughter he heard? Was that a smile he saw? A quiet smile would curve upon his own lips as the doctor would grab the other’s arm before roughly shoving it back into place. “If you slip again, I’ll make sure this never slips back into your joint. Understood?”

Okay, that hurt a lot more than he had expected. Tuya couldn't help the pained yelp as his shoulder was fixed, a grimace briefly appearing on his face before he just looked...kicked. Yeah, he'd gotten Teo angry... "Aha... Yeah, understood..." He gave his shoulder a roll and a rub, letting out a huff of a sigh. "No more slipping, doc. I promise."

Although he had no idea where he was or what he was doing there, Ferio could vaguely remember a black alley way, a figure looming over him, shaking him to see whether he was moving.

He could feel his own fever. Great. Atticus would have a cow if he found out what state Ferio had wound up in. The young prince slowly sat up, only to see someone sitting on the edge of the bed he had been stretched out on. His eyes narrowed, trying to focus and see who it was, but all Ferio could see was a blurred and hazy vision of shocking red floating above an obscure figure.

There was a loud commotion in his head, all of the spirits chiding him for collapsing in the middle of a street. But he ignored them all, slowly scooting over to the one who sat beside him, Golden optics blurry and unable to focus, he just wrapped his arms around the other without a word.

This fever was getting to his head.

Ferio pressed his lips against the neck of the other, exhaling a warm breath against the other’s skin. At least now the voices weren’t the primary focus. He continued to press soft kisses against the other’s skin, the cool temperature of the other’s skin a relief to the dizzy and almost hallucinating prince. 

             ”I’m sorry… Just make the voices be quiet….”

14. Air Kiss

The princess smiled at her ex-royal guard. He was so nice, just like many of the guards were to her. She got so excited at seeing him again, it’s been so long. She remembers that as a little girl she would follow him around or even hold his hand, chattering his ear off. Then again, she did that with the vast majority of guards.

Venus took the pirate’s head between her hands. She leaned forward, letting their cheeks touch as she made a kissing noise with her mouth— A quick smack of her lips. 

                   ”Tuya. It’s nice to see you again.”
