Homeschool - Day 1 So, I used to be a teacher, and anyone that chooses to be a teacher, in general, thrives off routine and organization and planning .... so Mama’s homeschool is no different. Cora: Today Cora did an animal study on Koalas - we read a book and watched two videos to research. Then she did a koala maze, painted a koala using an Easter egg, and made koala pancakes for lunch. She practiced her reading and did scholastic curriculum on friendship. We had a morning circle and played a name game, since it’s our “first day” - that and her name tag really helped Cora buy in to the whole thing. Eli - Eli continued to work his way through khan academy math, did handwriting/social studies work researching the Amazon, did a case study on why it is difficult to measure rivers and did silent reading. He has a virtual piano lesson next. We did an overnight grow your own crystals science experiment together and a chalk craft outside. Everyone took a bath and had a snack and now it’s only 5 more hours until my husband gets home from work....😬🤪 #mamasdone #homeschoolteacherappreciationweek https://www.instagram.com/p/B-Fti9GFzoZmfUVi2gStYM1Rc0LdEJmZzoNdeI0/?igshid=tae5d9gy8a90
