He wanted to reassure her, sit next to her and offer her comfort. He wanted to promise that they would fix this, that he would find a solution and then everything would return to normal. But he doubted she wanted him so close and he knew a solution would not be so easy to find. It hurt to see her like this and know that he was so powerless to help. He had quickly realised that as King, it felt as if you had less power than before the coronation.
“Don’t you think we should let the physicians know that you’re awake first?” A small frown creased his brow before a sigh left his lips. He wanted her to trust him again and perhaps keeping her trapped in a room was not the way to earn that trust. He stood from his chair and held a hand out to her. “Perhaps we can go pay a visit to the castle grounds. At least we will both have some fresh air, even if it does not help your memories.”
Mary’s shoulders shivered slightly upon hearing the blond man’s words. Her big, doe-like eyes peeked pleadingly at Francis. “Please, no physicians. Who knows what they want to try on me to get my memories back. I don’t trust them.” The Queen of Scots replied softly, almost inaudible. Her muscles seemed to relax a little after hearing the details of his proposal. A small grateful smile played with the corners of her mouth and curled them slightly upward. “That sounds lovely.” Without any doubt in her heart, she took the hand of the blonde man, and led him lead her to the castle grounds.
The wind pulled playfully on her raven-black manes, forcing them to dance on the rhythm of the wind. The young queen felt a lot more comfortable now that she could breathe fresh air into her nose. Inside the castle, in that room, she had felt trapped and claustrophobic - which stifled her. “Thank you, for taking me outside. It truly helps me to get better.” Mary thanked the blond-haired man, almost drowning in his breathtaking blue orbs. She might be suffering from amnesia; her ever-present curiosity remained undamaged. Her legs slowed down, so that she came to walk beside Francis. “Tell me who you are, perhaps it might help to regain my memories.” Curiosity sparkling in her brown eyes.

“Probably a hundred - or so times, and I still refuse to listen to you.” The young Queen of Scots giggled as she brushed her fingers against the pale skin of the blonde boy. “Tag, you’re it!” she cried cheerfully, racing as fast as her skinny legs could carry her away into the gardens.

“Stop keeping your phone in silent, you got me worried!”
“Blood? Are you bleeding?”
“I don’t like the idea of you walking down the streets all alone.”
“I thought I would never see you again…”
“We should get you to hospital.”
“Where did all those bruises came from?”
“I have the right to be worried!”
“Have you been drinking? You look terrible.”
“Sleep at my place tonight.”
“I don’t feel safe letting you be alone when you’re in that shape.”
“Please talk to me about it.”
“Let me take care of you.”
“You need to rest now. Don’t move.”
“How many times have I told you to not go there?”
“You could’ve died, you know…”
“I don’t care if you don’t want my help, I’ll do it anyways.”
“You really need to stop drinking. I’m serious.”
“This time you got yourself into a hospital. I think that’s a sign.”
