The AMBER single note is much different than the original. When I used real fossilized amber people were surprised that the scent was dark, leathery, and animalic. I ended up with 210 essences in my perfumers palette. Natural (plant) aromatics are much more difficult to work with due to solubility eccentricities. There was only one way to develop a system for the type of perfumes I want to create and that was to experiment. Every extract behaves in its own way. We are pleased to bring back a limited supply of our original single note lockets. These brass compacts are made in the USA from antique molds with floral etched designs. We used to make these with single botanical essences captured in beeswax, but this time full accords were created to feature each single note while enhancing their beauty and longevity with supporting essences.
