Even if he was trying his hardest to pull Sky in, it made him feel terrible whenever the boy started getting exhausted with their back and forth banter. He didn’t want to really hurt him anymore than he's sure he must have in the past. So whenever Sky started getting legitimately tired of their conversation rather than continuing with his attitude the blond couldn’t help but feel slight guilt. after all, he was trying to get his friend back not bother the guy till he was completely sick of him. 

 “At least let me silently stick around for another ten minutes? I have plans soon anyways.”

“You’re certainly gotten a bit more intense than before.” He is well aware of that fact. Honestly, he isn’t too sure how to get the brunett to forgive him but he is determined to bring him back into his life. “There has to be something I can do-- other than leaving you alone.”

        “You know-- for someone who is avoiding me, we sure do end up in the same place a lot.” In reality the two had more likely than not always been around each other often at both campuses without realization of each other’s presence. Only know after their argument did the speedster notice how frequently the brunet was around. Not that he minded at all, he had been dead serious in his oath to convince his old friend to accept him back into his life.

Sorry for being horribly slow guys! been busy getting ready for the con we’re going to next week and working a lot too since I’m getting a week off LOL. I did one reply tonight but I’ll get to the rest I owe possibly tomorrow after work since I work in the morning-ish.

        “Hey–lad, over here.”

   Hand waves as an extra attempt to draw the other’s attention, though after a moment Miles finds it wise to bring himself closer to the student; jogging but a short distance before reaching his side.

        “Do ye know this campus WELL? Gotta admit I’m a bit lost ‘round here.”

   Shoulders hike and fall in a heavy shrug, lips quirking in a sheepish smile–it wouldn’t take long for all to become familiar, but still were there places he found trouble finding on his own. Gaze shifts from left to right, as if searching for something, brows creasing and lips pursing with slight ANNOYANCE in his inability to locate his destination. 

        “We uh, got a LIBRARY here don’t we? ‘Cause I can’t seem t’find it on my own.”

         The voice calling out to him unheard it had surprised Danny when the voice next to him popped up. Though the boy’s question left the speedster a bit concerned. Honestly he wasn’t the best person to be asking for directions. While the blonde had a bad habit of sneaking his way around the opposing school’s campus he wasn’t all that familiar with the layout. When he wasn’t messing around he’d walk around with a friend of his, who obviously knew the school grounds better than he. 

Even so the blonde gave a slight nod in response, waiting to see where it was the other needed to get to. His expression obviously relaxing as he was asked how to find the library. Luckily that was a place he’d been to on his own several times. 

“Thank god that’s what you wanted to know-- I can show you the way.”

perplexed, he expression was one completely embodied by skepticism. there was no way that he could have ever confessed because years ago, the boy he was would have never been so BOLD. without a doubt there would have been a time where he probably had dreamt about it, however that hasn’t happened for many moons now. perhaps this was a ruse to get under his skin? honestly, he couldn’t give the speedster that much credit so there had to be some truth to his words.

❝ excuse me? ❞ his voice carried quietly yet that does not mean that the flames have been contained. if anything, it took on a more physical form. crystalline intrusions gradually grew from the ground as they came in small waves, reflecting that vindictive kind of wrath that turned PREY INTO PREDATOR. a demon of rage that fit itself perfectly in the basilaion’s skin, prompted him closer to their arrogant guest. ❝ suddenly this is all my fault? the lamentations of a true coward unfolds & i’m to plead guilty? ❞

crystallized anger flourished in spite, showing little mercy to anyone in its path including its summoner. as the crystals bloomed, it sliced along skylar’s forearm at an angle which caused him to stop from saying anything further. the damage wasn’t severe but it was a reminder for him to keep his temper in check. therefore, serpentine eyes of clouded kunzite feel behind dark lashes for the count of a few seconds before they stared back with the common circular pupils, listening to the fall of quartz as they lost their form when he TAMED the storm. elongated fangs then retracted to their normal size once their host decided to speak up again. 

❝ you know what? fuck off & DIE, gray. i don’t have time for this. ❞

the basilaion turned away from the other party, walking on the now crumbled remains of his crystals. a soft light of lavender snaked across the laceration of his arm, knitting delicate flesh perfectly back together with no proof of the wound’s existence: a small application of his event negation. yet he could not be bothered with how his face looked or felt because he could feel desires of OLD pry their way to the surface as he drew farther from his childhood friend. there was no merit to the blond’s grievances were there….? 

god, he just needed to get home & sleep the rest of the night away.

        Never able to hold his anger for long the blonde rushed after his old friend, unwilling to let the brunet go. It wasn’t as if he would immediately forgive those years of being brushed aside and forgotten, but he couldn’t lose Sky again. Even if it took a long while to work things out once more, Danny wanted the other back in his life. The speedster used his ability to his advantage, even if it hadn’t been a very long distance. Heightened emotion and determination triggered the acceleration in his step, almost causing him to miss his stop. Blocking the path in front of the brunet he let out a sigh of relief as if he hadn’t expected to catch up.

Catching the panicked look on Skylar’s face his own appearance changed from a bright smile of relief to a calm concerned expression. Though Sky’s face now reminded him of the shy teen from their high school years he knew better than to try and comfort the basilaion when he had been the one to personally cause him trouble. It was especially foolish to even touch on how panicked he had looked when moments ago he’d been yelling so fiercely. 

With the thought of those screams the speedster remembered the brunet had been trying to get away from him. Quickly grabbing at his arm he looked at Sky with complete resolve. His grip as tight as he could get it without using any strength, though it was still possible some had slipped through. 

“I don’t know what made you want to forget I ever existed but I refuse to let that happen. And I have all the time in the world to make you cave.”

So I know I still have a couple starters to get to but I’m honestly so tired right now. I’ll try to get to them soon! I promise!
