Fort Kilsby

Fort Kilsby A collective of four key writers from a diverse range of backgrounds. Blending Soul, Hip Hop and Rock, creating a unique experience, while combining live instrumentation, samples and visuals. Primarily an instrumental group, Fort Kilsby makes use of guest musicians and vocalists in a collaborative effort to keep things fresh. To date, the collective have joined forces with local and international guests including Quan Yeoman (Regurgitator), Paul Atkins (Tea Party Crew), Ian Perez (Wolfmother) and Abstract Rude (Freestyle Fellowship)USA. The current self titled EP, recorded at their home studios, with additional parts recorded and mixed at Blackbox Studios in Brisbane. Mixed by Allan Mawdsley UK, who has been involved in many great releases including Roots Manuvas Run Come Save Me - Dj Vadims Sound catcher, MJ Coles Sincere and Resin Dogs More. The EP will be made available mid 2011 in both CD and 12" vinyl formats. Key members include: Monkwhy (Keys,Turntables, Beard) played in Hung, and produces his own music spanning various genres. Stu Hill (Bass, Keys) played in Ochre and currently plays bass in Dead Letter Circus. Matt Napier (Guitar, MPC) has played in various bands from Resin Dogs, and Hung also has been involved in various productions, Tony McCall (Drums, MPC) played in Ochre, Final Days of Autumn, Resin Dogs, Mary Trembles, Hoo Haa, and with Quan Yeomans solo project. for more info, media and bookings please contact http://www.fortkilsby.com

Fort Kilsby's drummer "Tony McCall" to play with the Boredoms at Byron Bay.

Tony, who also plays with Australia's Hip Hop legends Resin Dogs, has been invited to play with Japan's Experimental Rock band The Boredoms at the special Boadrum11 event to be held in Byron Bay this coming Friday, 11/11/2011.

Continuing in the tradition of the Boadrum series started in 2007, The Boredoms along with 11 drummers and 100 cymbal players are set to treat your eardrums at Byrons Island Quarry with percussive delights starting at exactly 11:11am.

Opening at 10am and at a mere $11 entry fee, you need to get yourself down to Byron bay this Friday for an experience like no other.
