I have a question but I don't know if I can post it on /r/photography so here we go, do any of you which configuration did Steve McCurry use when he took his "Sharbat Gula // The Green Eye Afghan Girl" portrait? I'm a huge fan of him and that's my favourite photo so I'd like to tattoo the configuration (ISO, aperture, ...) on my wrist to

After hardly taking a single photograph all year (excluding about 5000 digital snaps) I am beginning to feel the stirrings of a little worm in my ear just beginning to incline me towards fishing out the HP5 that's in a drawer somewhere, loading up the M3 and heading out with a summicron or zeiss for a bit of playtime.

I don't understand how reviewers can constantly get things as simple and obvious as basic specs wrong. The 5D Mark III is not 24MP. It's 22.3 megapixels.

I recently saw the new movie " 42 ", in which all cameras appeared to be of the correct vintage. This is unlike Steven Spielberg's TV series " The Pacific, " in which a top rangefinder 4x5 Crown Graphic Special was used in a 1945 scene. The only problem was that this camera was not produced until 1955! Any comments?

I have watched several episodes of "Doomsday Preppers" on the National Geographic Channel and not a one of them included film in their post-apocalyptic stashes. I cannot imagine what the world will be like then. I don't want to have any part of it.
