Thinking about Felix being absolutely allergic to verbal affection but somehow quietly agreeing to the most egregiously soft nonsense for Dimitri’s sake.

Like imagine dimilix walking through the royal gardens and Dimitri wants to tuck a flower behind his ear? Felix SCOWLS, but tilts his head to allow it anyway.

Dimitri reaches for his hand in front of everyone? Felix mutters something about foolish displays and then does not let go.

Dimitri smiles at him with that stupid, earnest face and asks if Felix will dance with him at some royal event? Felix says “don’t be ridiculous” and is on the dance floor thirty seconds later, stiff as a board and red in the face.

Felix knows he’s not good with words. He can say “idiot” in fifteen different ways, but “I love you” gets stuck in his throat and refuses to come out. So instead he lets Dimitri have these tiny victories. He lets Dimitri be soft with him in ways Felix would bite anyone else for attempting. That’s the power Dimitri has over him 😌
