i know it's heartbreaking, i'm in tears. but it is such a blessing to be loved so much, to have a pet to give so much love to and have it returned a thousandfold, and to be able to give the one last act of kindness and let them go painlessly and peacefully. roscoe lived a wonderful, wonderful life, and he's left his mark not just on lewis but on all of us who adored him, and that is evident in the grief we all share. every person who has had a pet has felt this at some point and it is so painful, it cuts so deep — but the love is worth it. the love is always worth it.
