Happy 20 Years YGOTAS
Everything’s fine. Everything’s great. Everything’s’wonderful.
Good #MythicalMonday and Happy July, Friends!
I’m going to start the month with a possibly unpopular opinion…do your chores.
Now, I know it sounds childish to say to do chores. Some people prefer house work or things around the house…whatever. Do them.
Need to vaccuum? Do it. Need to do laundry? Do it. Need to clean your bathroom? Do it.
I know there are a billion other things that occupy and demand your time. I know it’s easier to just let laundry sit in the dryer till you need it or to put off cleaning dishes because you don’t have company coming. I really, honestly do.
But…how much weight does that add to your mind every week? How often to you start to plan your next day only to sigh, “Wait, I didn’t vaccuum today, so I have to add it to tomorrow”? How much stress are you adding to yourself by not just DOING THE THING?
(I’m just as guilty)
So today…do the thing. Even if it’s something as small as making sure your sink is empty before bed…that your sheets are folded…that ONE room is vaccuumed…do it. And tell me how much relief you feel after (and I definitely mean after because in the moment it’s going to suck…it’s a chore, not a video game). Shoot, go ahead and download those new virtual buddies that remind you to do a chore. Make a chore chart and follow it so you don’t have to spend your whole Sunday catching up.
But do it. Start today. Because you deserve the peace of mind and the absolute immaculate vibes that settle into your home when there’s not a looming “oh no, the trash” thought in the back of your mind.
