Photography is my hobby, I read about it, I talk about it, I do it. Three years ago when my family and I were on a trip my mom first gave me the family’s camera so i could take pictures while we are traveling. I didn’t leave the lens ever since. This Picture was taken in Germany when i was in a photographers expedition to there.

I am a portrait and observational photographer, searching for beauty in the world around us; looking for colour, for lingering moments in the everyday that burst forth before me. I strive to discover alluring scenes; to unearth, capture and to document them. It is the romantic within me, seduced by life as it unfolds before my eyes.

I walk often with my camera, looking for those points in time of a person or people within an environment, of how they interact with the landscape or the place that they step into. It is that connection that I’m looking for, of the stillness or the appreciation within a particular place. Humour is also important to me, as within the wonder of the world there is also such humour.

“Bloom”

A camera has been in my hands since 1969. I use the medium to express myself through fine art images. I shoot to a concept. I don’t shoot spontaneously – I have a plan whether for experimentation or for a theme. My artistic goal is to produce an image that tells a story. While I don’t classify myself into a defined style, I will adapt methods and styles to meet the goals of the story.
