Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

Established in Juarez, Mexico in 1909

I'm not sure how old the actual menu is but the paper has yellowed, it's stained in places, crinkled and torn in the corners. I thought it was a pretty neat find, even if it isn't all that old.

I love this photo simply because I know nothing about it. There is no location, name, or date on the back. It's a bit moldy, very discolored and water stained.

I found this old newspaper clipping in a book. At the bottom of the picture it says: How many will remember? This was old Clear Fork School around 1904. Uriah Mitchell was the teacher. The Times Journal is indebted to Mr. Tom Frye for this Picture.

So I’m currently reading/ deciphering a Diary started in 1918. The writing is small and difficult to read at times. The pages are discolored and ink fading in spots. It’s pretty interesting though. This person was detailed in his everyday life. He started over each year from 1918 to 1921. He wrote about the weather, his habits, the people in his life and going to town… a lot.

Love this kind of thing; beyond interesting to catch a glimpse into someone else’s life.
