Jesus loves you for who you are,
not the mask you wear. That’s why He took the cross for you and I. So that we could come as we are in His presence.

psalm 32:5 says :“ I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said,” I will Confess my transgressions to the Lord,“ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

something that struck me while I was spending time with the lord is, we all wear mask, no matter in what situation we wear a mask because we need to protect ourselves in such a fast pace and cutthroat society, to trust no one and to hurt everyone before they can hurt us… hardening our hearts and building layers of walls and facades.

But the longer you wear the mask, the harder it becomes to take it out and eventually the mask eats you from within, forcing you to become who you never wanted to become. Even coming to the Lord with the same mask that labels who you are, forgetting that it is all by His grace & not by our efforts.
.
Beloved, it’s time to come to the Lord again as who you really are, Jesus didn’t die for you to wear a mask, He died for you when you are imperfect, He died for you when you didnt deserve it, He took the beating for you and I, when it should be our beating. In spite of all our imperfections, He loved us, took the cross and died for us, not for the mask.
.
So it’s ok to be real and be who you really are in front of your Shepherd, you are the one whom Jesus loves, the one whom He always cares for, protects from evil and shields from harm. You are always loved by the loving, caring and faithful Jesus.
