It is over two years ago, my phone’s ringing and the man on the other line is Joe Quesada and he is saying to me “I found Matt Murdock”. And I go “What?”. “I found Matt Murdock!”. And I’m thinking to myself, is he drawing Matt Murdock? What does he mean he found Matt Murdock? Is Matt Murdock running around in the streets, blind? What’s going on? And he says “there’s this actor”. Oh! Oh, we’re talking about an actor that’s going to play Matt Murdock… On what, Joe? We don’t have Daredevil! It’s across the street! And he goes “Yeah, but it will happen, I know it will. And when it does, I found the guy who can play Matt Murdock”. So it’s got to come back, it’s got to go to the movie studio, they got to decide that television division do this thing and then we got to find somobody that’s gonna make the show that we wanna make… So what are the odds of that happening? Well, the person that Joe picked out is the person that we cast and that is Charlie Cox. (x)

so many people in this new daredevil fandom are talking about matt murdock - and yes, I love his adorable face and complex characterization as much as anyone but there are other characters we need to talk about.

we need to talk about karen page, the secretary who refused to be just a secretary, refused to just sit back and accept injustices when she knew she could fight for change, the woman who either knows exactly what to say or will ask the right questions until she figures it out.

we need to talk about claire temple, the nurse with a clever smirk who dedicated her life to helping people but will question the hell out of their motives, the woman who laughs in the face of a painful beating because she knows those sons of bitches are about to get what’s coming to them.

we need to talk about vanessa marianna, the art dealer who will not be bought but will remember paintings as though they are her own children, the woman who will have dinner with a dangerous man, gun in her purse and smile on her face, insistent upon honesty and captivated by emotion.

we need to talk about madame gao, the leader of an empire built on hobbling feet and demands for perfection, the ancient kingpin, steady as a terracotta warrior, the woman who will only speak in her own language and expect others to translate if they want to be worthy of understanding her.

we need to talk about these fascinating, developed women. we need to recognize their importance.

Marvel has posted a new teaser video. It appears to be 1:36 of static and incoherent screaming. It already has over a thousand comments.

Sebastian Stan has extended his contract. It extends to death. It does not specify whose.

Six new Chrises have announced starring roles in upcoming pictures. There is a rumor swirling around that soon they will have enough. Enough for what, no one is sure.

Everyone is smiling extra brightly for the press tour. They seem to be blinking an awful lot. You think it looks like Morse Code, but that cannot be right. Why would they be asking for help?

There is finally more Black Widow merchandise. The merchandise consists soley of boxes filled with spiders.
