GODZILLA discussion, possible SPOILERS.

The more I think about GODZILLA the more I like it. It was a beautifully executed film (from a technical stand point) that captured the fact that GODZILLA isn't a world-destroyer. He's a soldier who is willing to sacrifice everything, because hes the only one who can.

There are several very small scenes in the movie that establish this premise beautifully in harmony with the human soldiers in the movie.

What I don't get is how many comic fans I see not enjoying the movie, when in reality, this GODZILLA shares so much with the characters we love. He's a hero that puts himself in harms way to save us, even when we treat him like the villain.

Great film that amounts to more than just a monster movie. If all you wanted to claw on claw action for 2 hours, this probably isn't the movie for you.
