VISITING ARTISTS SERIES RETURNS TO ALYS BEACH FOR DG2016 RESIDENCY

Award-winning artists from around the world will venture to Alys Beach on Scenic Highway 30A in Northwest Florida’s South Walton county January 19 – 26 for the fourth annual Digital Graffiti Visiting Artist Residency program.

During the seven-day program, residency artists will reside under one roof and collaborate with curator Brett Phares to create individual pieces, which will be entered into the juried Digital Graffiti Festival to be held May 13-15, 2016. The artists include Sean Capone of Brooklyn, New York, Yandell Walton of Melbourne, Australia, and Keaton Fox of Detroit, Michigan.

30A residents and visitors can meet and interact with these award-winning artists to get a glimpse into their creative process. Meet and Greet sessions are scheduled for Thursday, January 21 and Friday, January 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Each night, visitors can drop by, meet the artists, and watch as they create their spectacular showcases for Digital Graffiti. Signage and lights will direct guests to the Alys Beach pedestrian path where the artists will be working. Meet and Greet sessions are free and open to the public.
