TWO ADULT PUREBLOODS WANTED: 

This a request for Iris parents, two pureblood screw ups who couldn’t have been more opposite from each other if they tried. Loosely based on Gilmore Girls (lol), these two had a weird love-hate, uncommitted relationship , that took place in and outside of Hogwarts having known each other most of their lives and ended in the result of teenage pregnancy in their 6th year. Because this is uncommon in the Wizarding World, it was a huge scandal, enraging a lot of parents who had nothing to do with the kids themselves — even more so in Pureblood Society — and even made its way into The Daily Prophet and Witch Weekly (to which Mom Macmillan has both articles proudly framed).

For the most part, Iris’ birth and existence affected her mother more. She was pulled out of school (despite managing to make it through most of the year) when she was no longer able to ‘hide’ her pregnancy by her parents and never returned for her 7th year by her own choice. Rather than leaving Iris with her grandparents to finish finish school and become [insert dream career of choice] like she’d always wanted and get married to Iris’ father like their parents wanted, she took the child along with whatever she had, and left the house. Determined to make her own life her own way and raise Iris away from the pureblood world. This effectively makes her the first blood traitor in the Macmillan family.

The opposite could be said for the father who to this day struggles between the shame of having a child so young out of wedlock (lol that word) and the shame of not being a present father (to which he only started to rectify once Iris was a teenager). In order to compensate for what he calls a mistake, he nearly overachieved in his 7th year (think Ernie Macmillan but if Ernie were a Slytherin purist) and has gone on to become a Death Eater.

The Mom — FIRST Macmillan (38-39): Though I would kind of love it if she were an Innkeeper (mostly because I think there is plot potential for aiding Order members —  or whoever is anti Voldy — as a safe house or meeting spot), it’s not necessary. As long as her career has something to do with entrepreneurship/business and the opposite of what her parents wanted for her.  She’s very anti-dark magic and very spread the wealth kind of gal who has tried her best to raise Iris in the opposite way that she was but now feels like she may be losing her daughter to the same life she escaped. She’s actually very disappointed in Iris choosing a Quidditch career, feeling she’s repeating her mistakes in not living up to her magical skills (her only regret). 

The Father — FIRST Avery or Parkinson (just suggested but has to be sacred 28 — 38 to 39): Possibly a Ministry Worker who’s spent most of his life after the birth of Iris trying to overcompensate through the image of being a poster pureblood (despite the little stain he made as his parents refer to Iris). Death Eater who would have passed his knack for charms and dueling on to his daughter, as well as his skills in quidditch. Most likely he was actually hurt by Macmillan up and vanishing. Totally ready to marry her once they’d finished school and has been or was reluctant to marry someone else (it’s up to you if he went on to have a separate family). These days he keeps up with Iris’ quidditch career as a point of pride and has been slowly coaxing her into the pureblood world (even going so far as trying to set her up with a match) with the help of the Macmillan grandparents. Wanting to bond with her and influence her to be the daughter he wants (and secretly needs).

iris is not sure who she is, torn between the morals her mother taught her and the lifestyle her grandparents gave her. she’s ashamed to admit she wants it. that she’s taunted by the manors of old money which hardly seems an appropriate term, with how ancient it all goes back. opulence runs deep, tempting her to sell her soul to have it all.

aesthetics: light reflecting off sea water, glistening // the sound of rain beating through an open window // diamonds sparkling in candle light  // the rising sun during golden hour // chapped lips peeled raw // lucid daydreams that turn into deja vu // teeth grazing bruising skin // an ancient chateau gathering dust // the weight of a family legacy in the palm of a long thin hand // the tinkle of crystal cups smashing against a white wall // the shadow that catches in the corner of your eye making mistrust your aloneness // the pleasant burn of attention // the insatiable pit of hunger, mouth watering for more.

first impressions: like a midsummer’s day, she warms the room as she walks in— heel first, then calves to long thighs that walk with the grace of a swan, to hips that sway in a way that makes any good moral man turn away with a blush, to long torso holding long arms and delicate hands, with narrow shoulders and blonde head. makes you quiver in your skin trying to guess what the mischievous smirk on her lips could mean. an easy warm smile is never too far away from a face so sharp and angular. crystal blue eyes dance wild like a storm rattled sea, there is an unwavering self confidence and certainty that emanates, almost intimidatingly so, from her glowing skin. she is a wild fire waiting to happen, waiting to engulf you whole.

we actually already have! they were included in our rules post, which is here!! it’s at the bottom in the aesthetics section. to clarify, here’s the information alone:

the graphics necessary for our skin include the following:

hello everyone!! it is officially that time - our reserves are open! here’s a small reminder for the rules:

we only allow a maximum of seven reserves of each, canons and face claims. this includes any you have already claimed or won. with subplot reserves, we allow for a max of two unless you won one in our development contest, in which case you can have three. again, this is just if you would like these, just a max you’re allowed to get to as desired.

with that said... feel free to add, edit, anything you would like throughout today. at some point early tomorrow we will be ending reserves prior to our site opening.

at this time... we expect to open the site friday, march 26 at around 6pm gmt / 2pm est. this is not hard set, but it is the goal and what we’re working on at current if anyone would like to plan accordingly.

“persephone” navarro // 23-26 // werewolf

requesting the sister of my character sonny. this character is also the persephone from athena’s request found here, so I’d advise you to also touch base with her and liv, who will be playing the hades, before taking this on!

the gist of it is this: the navarro sisters are puerto rican natives who attended castelobruxo (although modern puerto rico is a part of the united states, I feel like the population has more in common with the latinx countries that would attend castelobruxo? certainly open to correction on that front!). the “persephone” was at some point bitten and turned into a werewolf as an adult, which has obviously caused them quite a bit of strife! long story short, her herbologist older sister heard that there was a wizard in the UK developing a “cure” for werewolves, so they’ve travelled across the atlantic to get in on that and, in doing so, are caught up in the ongoing strife.

I’d really like to explore a plot where “persephone” gets involved with the creatures subplot found here and decides that even if there were a cure, she’d refuse it – there’s nothing wrong with being a werewolf, after all! this will lead to conflict between the sisters, as sonny very much sees lycanthropy as an affliction that ought to be eradicated – also, she doesn’t like the idea of her baby sister being involved in anything. she’d much rather “persephone” just stay safe.

other than the above, this is largely open! suggested face is tashi rodriguez, but feel free to use someone else as long as they’re puerto rican!
