Neil studies, need to make sure I have a ref for all his scars

Thinking about that time in TKM when Neil punched Aaron and “Aaron took a couple of bored steps out of Neil’s reach and calmly checked the corner of his mouth with his thumb.”

Being bored is not 🚫 a normal human response to being hit. Aaron didn’t even flinch, and I think that shows how traumatized he is because of Tilda that being struck doesn’t even phase him anymore.

It also seems like he does the same trick Neil does where he looks at a person’s arms to judge the safe distance away from them, and I think it’s so sad that they both had to learn how to do that.

i just now realized nobody ever wrote about Wymack’s reaction to Seth’s death, I feel like it is not spoken about enough!

i really want to read Wymack’s pov of getting the news that one of his first players, one that was about to graduate, who just needed the chance to be better, died

and he couldn’t do anything to prevent it.

one of his kids, a son to him, and the other just walked right past it, ignored it, got over in a blink.

but not Wymack. Certainly not Wymack.

“WHAT?” Kristen shouted next to him, loud enough Neil had to cover his ear, unintentionally putting the ring on full display. She was one of the few he least tolerated since joining the Denver Outlaws, always sticking her nose in other people’s lives. “What the fuck is that, Josten?! Did you get married or what?!”

Neil spared her a scowl, not appreciating having his hearing compromised and the attention of all his teammates on him. “Yes,” he said flatly and went to the treadmill to continue his workout.

the funniest parts of aftg are Andrew unapologetically playing favourites because he's always trying so hard not to care but his only moral is "Kevin and Neil can do whatever they want without any consequences and if anyone tries to impose consequences on them they have to get through me first" while no one except Kevin and Neil themselves wants to get through him
