Only the moonlight allowed him to see the path ahead of him, the silence embracing the night, a spot reserved for him to pause his surveillance activities. Usually there would be no need for this, however for the last few minutes he had heard the odd vibrations between the tree leaves; the sound didn’t match the wind flow, indicating an exterior presence disrupting. The steps, the pauses, movements, and aura, this was no normal presence, this was in fact a demon.
No regular human can see the discrepancy between those altered factors, some can’t even see the difference between a normal person and a demon standing in front of them, however Giyuu was no regular human, he was a demon hunter and one of the bests. He stays still, knowing he individual was close, closer than he would like, the pillar had no intention to confront him, in his current position he had no chance to win and he knew one of his strengths was to acknowledge his limits.
❝ Are you going to hide in there forever ?❞ To think he was actually talking to a demon like that, had he gone softer?
Late as it is, Kurama doesn’t expect much of anyone to be wandering around, just nocturnal creatures and the like. He’s here though, for all the good living as a human has done for him, some habits are hard to break and harder still when there’s no one around he has to perform for. He makes his own schedules now, sleeps the few short hours needed, and goes along with whatever he wants to do. Usually sticking to the forested and wooded areas—a natural draw, given his nature. Curious though, that a someone would be around at this hour; human as far as he can tell. Definitely not a normal one by any means, however.
“It’s less hiding and more curious observing.” Kurama states. Removing himself from shadows of the trees, his posture is deceptively calm. Perhaps, if he was anyone else, he would have stayed covered and careful, but conversations are better had face-to-face. As it is, he does at least keep a polite distance away. “I normally don’t see people around this late, so you’ll have to forgive me for that. So, what’s got you out at this hour, if you don’t mind me asking of course?”
