yeah he's picking his nose nbd, no shame, it's kinda gross but he's brought a gift so it's alright. "gokuderaaaa," not stinkydera, he tries really hard, not today, "lambo-san got you somethin'." we don't know where he got it. we don't want to know where he got it. but lo and behold: a fat bag of 'weeds', festively sealed with one of his favorite froggie stickers—it's wearing a birthday hat! don't smoke it all in one place, and remember to share with your buddies, now.

“I…….. hm.” He took the bag, cutely-adorned and clearly worked at for a while. That was. A lot of weed. That was like a lot of marijuana. giorno sees a lot of himself in lambo, in a sense that he can tell they came from very similar backgrounds at the base of things. there’s just certain ways lambo reacts and certain things lambo says and giorno just knows and that makes him so upset and disappointed in people. it makes him want just scoop lambo up and carry far away from all that, and giorno does, as best he can anyway. it’s the primary driving force as to why he treats lambo with such kindness and patience besides the fact that lambo is a child and should be treated as such anyway. giorno just ya know, wants to be a sort of safe haven and someone that lambo can unquestionably trust and actually be able to go to if he needs to; kinda like what giorno himself didn’t necessarily have. 

on a happier note! giorno doesn’t care if lambo curses around him and actually thinks it’s really amusing and is amazing lambo creative potty mouth. giorno doesn’t curse that often, but he doesn’t not do it; if anyone actually paid attention, they’d notice that he does so more around lambo. not because lambo elicits that out of him, but because lambo doesn’t know how to properly use all those words yet and someone has to teach him as neatly as possible. 

giorno now has a small section of his wall dedicated to all the of the artwork lambo has given him, and he likes to put the date he got the picture of the back so he can remember. he always makes sure to tell lambo what a great job he did and say thank you for the nice gift, because it really is a nice gift.

"lambo-san drew you a picture. s'a bunny!!" and what better memory to model from than that one time those monster cats invaded golden?? never mind how terrifying it looks; the killer rabbit with its sharp teeth is chomping something that,,, seems to be a blue-haired primo pineapple,,, x's for eyes, comical tongue sticking out, red crayon for graphic blood and everything. jesus

There was nothing disconcerting about the cute-turned-violent artistry, at no point was Enma put off-- like how he watched horror movies most of his guardians couldn’t even stomach because he’d just seen so much worse in his own life, but on a child’s scale. “This is the best bunny I’ve ever seen!” Every detail was perfect, it was almost restorative to see his worst fear made cartoonish and jokey and at the mercy of a soft cute creature. Lambo was an artistic genius, actually.

he picked up lambo’s scent long before he heard the pitter-patter padded feet. thankful enough, the waddling calf does not reek today. glancing over his shoulder, he catches sight of the baby boy, snickering, sneaking up behind brett with a finger up his nose.

brett does what he is supposed to do -- pretending not to notice -- and goes on stirring his mac and cheese to upbeat radio tunes. he remains calm when the proud trickster tapes something to his pants. 

“ who’s there? ” he asks, feigning ignorance as he picks the boy up in one arm.

he’ll allow it just this once.

lambo-san heard it was mister white man’s birthday. lambo-san will give you this pretty flower he picked *fuckin waddles up and places a dragon arum stalk on byakuran’s foot*

Children weren’t typically allowed to approach Byakuran, back home Bluebell and Yuni were as close as it got and anyone unapproved of a young age was literally not allowed inside the Gesso base to begin with. It was something he had come to take for granted, he now realized, as the toddler in a jumpsuit that couldn’t have been washed recently approached him, grubby little hand grasped around the stem of a flower.

He nudged the flower with his foot lightly, nose scrunched up mildly in distaste, and gave a curt “thanks.” before the scent of the chosen flower wafted up to him and his eyes widened. What were the fucking odds of him getting an unpollinated dragon arum? This had to be on purpose, right? Not even a child could miss that smell–

…Surely the Vongola wouldn’t miss… one guardian…
